I tend to just buy my booze the day before...
I'm a stern believer that everything should be closed on Sunday, even gas stations.

limiting sales on Sunday doesn't stop the public from drinking and driving. a friend of mine came over drunk just last Sunday. Said she was at Paramount at a party. All you could drink for the price of admission. Hope it passes. I like to have a glass of wine with dinner and have to go out of town to do it

Can we just have one day to keep the sabbath? It's not that much to ask. I would rather be in the Lords house sober than any other place drinking. It may sound far fetched to you ppl.but it's wonderful you will All get to meet him one day, weather he welcomes you is. Your choice.

You are both right and wrong at the same time. I agree with having a "Lord's day" and with it being a choice...and that word is the key...CHOICE.

Why do we Christians insist on using the laws of the land to make ostensibly free people follow our beliefs. If you are willing to use a government hammer to prevent them from drinking and smoking, what stops them from using it on you to get their way on abortion, evolution, prayer in schools, etc.
So be careful what you wish for Brothers and Sisters lest we find the law we rallied to uphold used against us even more than it already has been!

Change the hearts and minds of our fellow citizens, don't legislate them into submission.

God wrath will surely smite thee just as with Sodom and Gomorrah! You may mock The Lord with your man made laws and you may thinkth you wise now but thou shalt scream his praises and beg forgiveness on deaf ears upon your judgment day oh brothers and sisters! And that'll shall tremble and shake when the cleaning punishment, fire and brimstone befalls this once godly community! But your trembles and shakes will be as in vain as you have takenth thy lords name! What a glorious sight it will be to behold! Cleansed sweet Jesus, sweet baby Jesus! Sinful no more! No more! No more! And you all shall be steeped in the foul dank mess of hell! The raging fires of hell! The raging ever cleansing fires of hell! That raging river will boil and swallow you up like the heathen sipping wine! Oh lord sweet lord come to us! Save us from our darkest hour! Let there be not the devils nextar pour her on your day! On your sabbath! Let not the devil take us! Let not the devil lead us down that wicked road of dispair and distraction! Deliver us from evil oh precious Jesus! Oh precious lord! Bring to us now your holiest of cloth! Shorwd us in thine good and glorious love! And take from our path those that shall doeth the devils deeds. Take from our path those that would leadth us astray! Take from our path those that are not washed! Not waded in the blood! Thy holy blood of the lamb! Oh praise be our father, out savior, our soul's salvation! Amen! Fuck! I spilled my goddamn wine!

Here's what you need to realize, you are free to take part in your religion, but no, no one else has to respect it. If a bunch of Muslims move in and ask that out of respect women need to cover their faces when they go out, would you respect that? I doubt it.

It's your religion, if you believe it does not allow you to imbibe alcohol on Sunday, then by all means, don't. However, also don't try to have your dogma legislated to force the rest of us into the tenants of your beliefs.
