fred jackson gave no notice prior to laying these people off, just like his mo has always been, shady and unscrupulous.kdmc is being investigated for medicare-medicaid fraud and abuse. a former employee, high in the administration, brought to fred's attention, the fraudulent billing practices, and instead of correcting them, he fired the employee. he filed a lawsuit and in may a jury in boyd county determined that kdmc indeed submitted false claims, and jepordized patients safety by doing unnecessary heart procedures and the verdict was against kdmc. the whistleblower was awarded a large sum of money. you can check it out at the courthouse. THIS IS FACT. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ARE WELL AWARE OF WHAT WAS AND IS GOING ON. THIS IS CRIMINAL !!!!!!!!! sooner or later, they will all be held accountable.

every employee, every union member should protest and demand that fred and all of the directors be removed. the only way to do this is to complain to your congressmen, senators, email everyone you can, put these facts on youtube, contact media outlets,american hospital association,medicare, kma, bluecross,and any one else you can think of. fred controls the board, not the other way around as it is supposed to be. since there is no one policing the board, the only way to bring them down is by getting others to complain and have the state step in and take over. make a clean sweep and start over. if not, they will continue to lay off and cut jobs because of fred's mismanagement.

fred has used kdmc as his own personal bank account and the board has allowed it. fred has cost thekdmc millions in legal fees fighting unwinable cases because of his ego and arrogance. it has been proven in 2 courts that he is a liar and not credible. just look up his court cases, it's in black and white. there is no other hospital that you can find that has a board of directors that have financial ties to the hospital they are overseeing. a board is supposed to be free of conflicts of interest. a board is supposed to be totally ethical and unbiases. how can you make rational, unbiased decisions when you are being paid millions of dollars to say yes to everything fred jackass wants. everyone should contact the attorney general of kentucky to complain. THE UNION REP SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS DOCUMENTATION AND DO EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO EXPOSE THIS. COMPLAINING TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS A WASTE OF TIME. THEY ALL HAVE TO BE FORCED OUT. CRIMINAL CHARGES SHOUL BE BROUGHT AGAINST ALL OF THEM.

listen up people. everyone should boycott all business of the board of directors. you should all write letters to them demanding fred's and their resignations. there is indeed power in numbers. get this out on the internet and have anyone and everyone to write to board members. otherwise you will see more unwarranted layoffs. the board members are just puppets of fred's. the reason fred has no fear of being fired is because he controls the board. anyone who disagrees with him, gets fired. he is running amuck. he rules by fear and dictatorship. get organized. meet in the park. make posters with board of directors names and theor financial relationship with the hospital and all of the obscene salaries. and by all means, call randy yohe at wsaz. fred quashes all negative publicity. the independent is terrified of fred's power. the only unbiased entity that he can't control is wsaz. LET'S GET GOING PEOPLE. WE]RE ALL DAMNED MAD AND SHOULD NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!

1) Isn't the owner of Boyd County Ford on the board for KDMC? Are all the vehicles owned by KDMC "Ford." Boyd County Ford is doing pretty well, considering a horrible recession that just recently caused 400 + employees to be terminated. I'm sorry they weren't terminated their positions were just terminated.

Recession hit the previous Nissan and Honda Dealerships on Winchester Ave. I guess KDMC couldn't spread the wealth throughout Ashland, and maybe own vehicles from different dealerships.

2) What is more important in health care medical staff or interior decorator? Isn't Fred's wife the interior decorator for KDMC? Is she still employed?

3) Shouldn't senority play a part in terminations? Senority typically equals more real world experience and new hire (RN) what equals a 120 hours of clinicals. Well, I guess you could look at senority as highter senority equals more money and new hire equals less money. Either option would play a part.

Finally, when it comes to my second topic, are there not laws that board members of a non-profit organization can not benefit from their position? If so, I wonder what loop-hole they found to allow the purchase of only fords. I must not forget, that all maintainence on those fords be done at Boyd County Ford as well.

We all know how that business works.. You scratch my back and I will scratch your. I completely believe everything fact girl has said. Mr. Jackson has over extended the hospital until he had no choice but to lay off good hard working people. Ask Fred about the money he paid to have Kings Daughers rated as one of the top 100 employers in the nation. You could also ask him why every time a good doctor disagree with their mandated rules they were pushed out. I personally know a doctor that left and the doctor told me they were to give as many test as possible necessary or not. The bottom line was bill, bill, bill. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Mr. Jackson cares nothing about those employees he let go, all he cares about is his big house, his cars and the men who are keeping him in the position he is in.

A lot of people do care. A lot of people had their lives turned upside down because Fred Jackson and his buddies have mismanaged KDMC's money buy trying to buy up half of Ashland. And the amount of money the top executives get paid is rediculous! Several area nursing students graduated this spring and were recruited to come work at KDMC, now they've lost their jobs to layoffs. And because they haven't worked the mandatory 120 hours before you can get your nursing license they can't even get work elsewhere! Many people were done wrong with the laoffs. And many more lives are in limbo. So, enough already,there are very many people that still do care.

hey out there, doesn't anyone care that 180 CSX men lost their jobs, many about 3 or 4 years from retiremnt, as least with a profession you can go elsewhere and get another job, some of these men are 60 years old. I know that anyone loosing their job is terrible, my husband lost his job at National Mines after working there 23 years, but hang in there, there's never been a long dreary winter that a spring doesn't follow. No one's job is secure right now, they can walk in tomorrow and put you out on the street.

I feel your pain and anger. I was let go from a neighboring hospital several years ago, for no reason. I received a $5000 performance bonus in December and was let go in January. My replacement made about half of what I was earning and lasted only six months.

My new job required I move to another state, where after three years, I was laid-off, with 80 others, because of financial issues with the facility.

It took me six months more and another 600 miles to land a lesser paying job with another healthcare facility. But divorce, forclosure and seperation from my kids was the result.

Healthcare is a tough business to make a living in, but it can be done, for now at least.

My advice to those who have lost jobs this week: Get out of healthcare. Obama and his gnag of thieves have ensured that none of us will enjoy a pension garnered from a long healthcare career.

If you think it"s bad this week, give it a few more years for Obamacare to destroy us completely.

Quit crying everyone! Ppl get fired, laid off, let go or whatever u want to put it. All u do is complain about kdmc then be thankful they let u go.... damn just a bunch of babies crying over this. Everyone know they start from the bottom first. Those top wigs will never be touch. Oh isn't the medical field the best profession to go into so shouldnt be hard to find another job.
