I checked that place out yesterday its actually really nice. I've heard people say its not a good place to go for a hair cut but they were very friendly and did a good job. The whole dude spa is a little over done but its pretty cool.

The criticism and gossip of this little podunk town disgusts me. Somebody actually tries to bring something nice here and you idiots continue getting your $7.50 cuts and perms out at the local Walmart. Word spreads and these businesses fail. How about some support for small businesses these days so that corporate bulldogs stop destroying the economy by outsourcing every single job? Most of you probably don't understand that small businesses run this country so now schooled, do yourselves a favor. Sideburns is by far the nicest, most attractive, appealing place I've received a cut since living in the city. Even then, it puts Sports-Cuts to shame. The staff are friendly, mostly attractive women in their mid-twenties to early-thirties so I understand why some of the big, local girls might dislike the joint. They've got my cut right each time (something else I've found rare at Fiesta and Master Cuts). Fifteen bucks? Hard to beat while being able to keep an eye on Sports Center as the ladies trim the wig. Hope this company is here to stay a long time. Linda, even though I don't use hair products, I get the feeling that you're full of either a)bullshiz or b)diet pepsi. Go back to keeping the old ladies company at Fiesta and remember... GO BLUE!

But then you call this area a "podunk" town, and say that we should "support this business". No way now! Also, you may think that your brilliant motto about "small businesses run this country" is so great. Well, how many of these privately owned operations give you high wages and medical benefits? None. The only people making bank are the owners. I have nothing against supporting any establishment that deserves it, be it privately owned or a corporation. These are tough times dummy, and people are going to catch a break where and when they can. It's not the peoples fault this numbnuts decided to open a business with the economy the way it is, in a market that is overly saturated, and wants to charge more just for the atmosphere. I don't really care if they do a good job or not now. I'll keep my family going to the places we've always gone since this place considers us all just "PODUNK" patrons. Go to New York since you're so HIGH FALUTIN!!!

Go to New York since you're so HIGH FALUTIN!!! I almost didn't reply to you because you have AOL but wth, I'm not doing much right now other than watching old gangster movies. It's nice being able to afford DVR. You can even pause movies as they stream live on cable. Sorry, didn't mean to get off track but hey, you have AOL. Yeah, you should support small businesses but I'm still trying to figure out why you think $15.00 is expensive for a haircut. That's actually pretty average (Please refer to AOL comments above--AGAIN). Also, you must tell me about your barber shop. I'm dying to go get a haircut and get handed high wages and medical benefits! I'm really not too sure what your argument is about or where it came from but Sideburns isn't expensive. I pay seventeen-something at Fiesta and fifteen-flat at Sideburns. In case you missed it, MY POINT WAS, stop spreading gossip about new establishments especially if you haven't been there (as you clearly haven't). Anyways, I'm going to go check Websters for the word FALUTIN then get back to my show. Sorry the word podunk offended you faluter. Not New York by the way but the burbs of Chicago. Pretty close.*In his best AOL voice* Goodbye

I'm glad your internet provider is so state of the art. You really are a stupid clown. You don't even know what to argue about on here. If your not sure what my arguement is about, you obviously can't read or understand, so why should I bother. Sideburns is for dumb chumps and losers like you. If you've never heard of high falutin, then you should really go back to school. Goodbye idiot, from the famous and wonderful AOL user!! Stop being so jealous! LOL !!!

Oh yeah, and your the one that cried foul at people getting their hair cut at Walmart or other places that charge less. You are obviously an employee of this place or one of the owners. From what I understand, half of the staff there are rejects from other hair salons that they couldn't cut it at. What is your beef with Fiesta anyway? Did one of the girls reject you? People aren't spreading rumors. I've talked to people that have had bad experiences there, but when a fool like you starts calling everyone stupid for not going to Sideburns and supporting some perverts dream of a sexy hair experience, that's when I have to speak up, AOL or not. I could very well hide my provider, but then, what would you use to make yourself feel more important than me? Just STFU. Nobody values your carsalesman opinion.

Well, let me put my two cents in because I made a trip there not knowing the full experience and intent. I am a female, they do not color (I wish they would start), but the girl that cut my hair was very nice and probably gave me the best haircut I have ever had. Yes, I got the massage and felt a little out of place, but thier services were great and for what little they could do for me, they did a great job! I hope they look into doing more for females as well. I would give them business :) Some of the nicest customer service out there.

@why: Calm down, you're going to burst a temporal artery. Then you wouldn't be able to complain anymore and I would miss out on more fun later. Nothing wrong with Fiesta. I just hate waiting in line two hours for a ten minute cut.
@Hair Care: Maybe they will but I believe the vision of Sideburns is probably more similar to Sports Clips--Haircuts for Men. Not 100% on that but I'm just going from the name of the joint and the atmosphere. I don't know a lot of guys who use color (even though I could probably use some). It'd be kind of interesting to see a hybrid store but doubt it would last.

This topic is getting old. This is a nice place to get a haircut. The owners did a good job of getting their business in a position to succeed. There are others who do not want to see this place succeed so they get on here and bash since they don't have to put their name on this website. Very petty. To the owners/workers/supporters I understand how frustrating this must be. Don't let people like this get to you. Report abuse for libel to Topix and stop responding. I think you will see less of a problem in the future. Good luck!

This topic IS getting old. So, all of you "podunk" idiots better get out there and support Sideburns. What is the matter with all of you "back woods scum". Don't you know that the owners need to buy nicer things and go on lavish vacations and retire early on your dime. Whatever you do, don't go to any other privately owned shop and support them because you might not be able to watch a ball game or be snickered at for being a "poor hillbilly" like they do at Sideburns,(per Completely Satisfied). We can all appreciate how "MIB" doesn't put their real name on here, but thinks everyone else should. Maybe she is an employee/owner. Real Pretty. After all, no one should be able to tell about their bad experiences if "MIB" doesn't agree? Right?

My kids love this place! I don't see how anybody could say anything bad about them. Sure the price is a little more than you would pay else where but when my kids can go get their hair cut and actually have fun doing it, its worth it. And the staff is great as well. Never a bad experience. My kids don't want to go anyplace else.
