I spent the evening at Chimney Corner Cafe to support a local artist in the song writers convention. I got horrible service and the staff was extremely rude! It was the absolute worst dining experiences I've ever had in my life. Anyone else had a bad experience?

The service has always been lousy there. The food however has always been on par. They have a great Chef, great space, and at times--a great menu. However they tend to employ with un-skilled staff with no people skills. The Chef is cheap. He hires and fires quite often, and selects poor choice in employees. Observations are just that, observations. Opinions are also just opinions. Each is entitled to one. If he slacked off on the kitchen attitude and brought in a talented staff of wait staff and front of house, he'd be a more sought after dining venu.

Well, the Chef must have had a night off! I not only got the worst service ever but also got horrible food. It wasn't even edible!! We were a party of 4 and not one of us took more than two bites of our food, it was nasty! Would NEVER go there again or ever recommend someone to go there! All around TERRIBLE experience!

Not to mention the trash that was there last night. A little bit sad that such a nice event draws every middle age s1ut in city limits.

I find the food to be excellent, and the staff is exactly what I would expect from young girls. It isn't a degree position, you know!

The running joke around my office is it's fad place for older married men to bag a cougar or a woman looking for money (or trap a guy). I was there Friday night and saw a dozen men with women they were not married to. Neither party seemed bothered by it though. My fiancÚ and I entertained ourselves by counting surgeries and trysts. Excellent!

I've only eaten there once, but it was a good experience overall.

I have eaten there and think Chef Paul is amazing. However, some chunky girl with piercings and blonde, pink and some other color worked there. She had a horrible aroma and had animal hair on her clothes.

I have friends who really like the place. It's okay.

Chef Paul is a creepy old man. He tried to hit on my friend one night and just kept talking about how hard he works and how his wife was his slave. I couldn't get past the fact that he looks like Sid from Ice Age and the fact I saw him get arrested for DUI not to long ago. His food is over priced and poor quality. The only people that eat there are the old people who can't let go of the Columbia steakhouse. Shut this place down.

This place has really gone down hill over the past few years. My husband and I have had dinner there a few times and have attended parties there and each time to quality of the food was a roll of the dice. Sometimes it was good and other times nothing much to write home about. We got tired of the hit or miss service so we just stop going there.

Wonder if all happened after he became the chief at the plaza. Maybe he is running himself to thin.

All I know about the place is they kicked chris kitchen out and banned him and called the cops on him for playing music inspired by other old bands.
They believe in censoring art and inspiration.
I'm sure the food they serve is as bland and imaginationless as their ideal world filled with uniformed masses stepping in unison to the beat of a concrete antidepressant undertow.

I think are are sadly mistaken. My husband and I ate there once and the food was terrible. We have eaten in 5 star restaraunts, and what you call excellent is a joke! People would not be posting a bad review unless they experienced the same bad food my husband and I did. I don't know the cook or any of the owners, all I know is the food was not even close to being good. I would love to see a excellent restaraunt in Ashland. All we have here is a cut above fast food. All the chain restaraunts, seems that's what the people in this area wants.
