I am getting ready to purchase a new handgun, I just wanted some input on what a few other people thought about the two handguns mentioned above.

How does the glock compare in accuracy to the XDM?
Which handgun has the least recoil?
Which handgun has the best feeling trigger?
Does either have an adjustable trigger?
I am talking tactical size weapons here. 5", not compact models.
Just wanted some imput from other shooters.
I know both weapons are top shelf, but if you had to choose one, tell why?

Go with the Springfield...gloc sights take a while to get used to...I have a Springfield 1911 45 and wouldn't trade it for nothing...another thing about the gloc is it's safety or lack of...something to think about if you have kids and such....I'm not hate'n on gloc's but Springfield is and always will be my first choice when it comes to handguns.

I have shoot both handguns and own a xd.40.the xd is by far the better of the two.the xdm has a match barrel and I like the safety better.the trigger pull is around 5 on both guns.and the xdm,to me,feels better when I hold it.not like a chunk if wood.

I have to agree with 2 prev. Posts....recoil on xdm is much less as well because of better balance....and best of all..AMERICAN made....the new Smith n Wesson match 45s are really awsome as well.

I would seriously consider the Beretta px4. I own the full frame 9mm which I believe the barrel is 4.2 inch and I'm not the best shot but I've shot glocks, xd's, and own the Smith 40 and the storm worked best for me. Also the glocksters I shoot with loved it! Go hold one and it will make the decision for you. I also love the option of single or double action. The gun sells itself!

I've owned and currently own many, many pistols. I am familiar with almost everything.(I am a serious collector of shooting pistols.)(NOt the ones that ate look at only guns)

I currently own both. Both are relaible, but I think, if I could only have one, it would be the Glock.

The Glock seems easier to shoot well and it is the most accurate of the two, or at least it is for me. The Glock is also easier to find parts for, do a trigger job on, and probably holds its value better---I'd buy the Glock, but there is nothing wrong with the Springfield XD, or XDM.

i like how the guys say this gun shoots better than that gun, but mine has a match barrel and other upgrades. a glock is a simple piece of machinery, thus less parts and less troubles. they xd is a great gun too. find a buddy with both and try them. its all about personal preference. dont think you cna o wrong with either, but like the other dude said if i could only have one the glock would be my choice

XDm 45 is a great gun, but it's made in Croatia, not the USA.

I have a Glock 23 and a Springfield XDM. Both are great guns and you can't go wrong with either of them. The Springfield is a little more comfortable to shoot and is a little more accurate in my opinion but the Glock is easier to conceal and is extremely durable. I have put my Glock through hell in the woods, dropped it in the mud, swam with it, dropped it on the road while on a ATV, and it has never given me problems. It comes down to personal preference. Both are great.
