On 8/12/1974 she was abducted and murdered. Had her son with her and he survived, rumors her husband was involved. I was 10 years old and remember reading about it and thinking it was one of the scariest things I ever heard. Does anyone know if the murderer was ever found?
Her husband, Bill, owned the VW dealership on Greenup where Boyd County Ford is now.

I remember it very well. I think the guy who was tried for it was found innocent, though, wasn't he-a witness testified that he was working on a roof at the time of the murder. I always thought her husband was involved, but I don't think it was ever proved. About a month after it happened, he was sitting next to me at a red light, and started coming on to me-not exactly the picture of a grieving man. But don't guess that proves he did anything. Probably one of those things we'll never know the truth about.

Does anybody remember another murder around '75 that involved 2 guys and 2 girls. One of the boys was made to climb a tree and the killer shot him. The girls were raped.? Skyline drive area?

I do remember that he had a girlfriend. That was so sad for that little boy who was with her. From what I remember, the man had sent Mrs. Nisel to Midtown to buy him some socks or ties, so he knew where she would be. Circumstantial, but who knows?

I was a 10 yrs old boy when that happened and it really scared me. I remember a sketch of the guy they put on trial, Victor Lee Davies, it creeped me out. He was found not guilty and supposedly went back to Washington State. I still think of it anytime I go the Midtown Plaza.
Never solved, some speculated the husband had it done.
I wonder how the boy is doing now days.

I heard ,many years ago and I'm not sure it's true, that the young boy had to go to a mental hospital for treatment. I don't know what ever became of him. Does anyone remember his name?

I sincerely hope that he has done well. No child should ever have to go through something that horrid.

I hope so too. I think they moved to Cin.OH, or Columbus. He came back to school after it happened and we were told not to ask him about it, and of course, there is always one stupid ass, and he asked him out on the playground. He didn't act upset, but he was always a quiet kid anyway. He always laughed and seemed very happy, but, they didn't stick around long after this happened. I've looked for him on facebook and places, but, who knows, they may have even changed their names, but what a horrible memory to carry around for 30 or so yrs.
