I refuse to shop there until they move the hanging pots and flowers in the handicapped parking spaces. There are no handicapped spaces because of this.
Showing no respect for those handicapped or the law.

How sad for you. The parking lot is tiny. Park your obese, diabetic ass in a regular spot and walk the 5 ft it takes to get to the door. But if you don't like it, don't whine on a gossip forum about it, go to Kroger. They will take your food stamps also.

Ask the manager about it, clearly marking spots would be nice as paint was worn away last I noticed. Although their lot is small still need to keep handicap spots available. I appreciate having a small grocery like this store, people that work there r nice.

They better be nice for the prices they charge. That place is nothing but an overgrown 7-11. I haven't shopped there in years but not because of handicapped parking. You should tell the manager or call the police. Neither one do much of anything anyway.

My husband and I, pulled into a front parking place at the end of the building in front of the propane cage. He went into the store while I waited in the car. They still had the long counter with the flowers on it. I watched the girl that was working the flowers, come over and light up a cigarette, right in front of the propane cage, with the No Smoking sign at her back. Then not even a minute later, two more employees came out to smoke, right in front of the propane! Needless to say, I got into the driver's seat and moved my car. So, if they keep smoking in front of that propane cage, you won't have to worry about not having a place to park, because there might not be a store to come to!!!!!!

that place is a waste of space nothing but a bunch of kids running the place and none of them care about their job and u have to check the dates on every thing in there last summer found A1 sauce on the shelf that expired in 2007 then bout a month ago found loose tea that expired in 2009 and when I showed it to the cashier he said he wasn't surprised

Obviously a small store can't compete with Walmart on pricing and I don't do major shopping there but it is very convenient and quick if I just need a few things so paying a little more is worth it.

My Fix

You people are funny;) One moment your like I hate wal-mart! I hate Kroger! To much big bussiness!! Then the next your like "Gateway" Foodfair sucks and is a waste of space. I tell ya what open your own;)

First to the orginal OP
There is still handicap places. There no blocking them.

2. Where are you going to go?? Like the person above said its a small lot! If you park all the way at the very last space near blackburn it is about the same distance as a handicap place at walmart to the food section. Actually closer;) So go to walmart and save me time in line at foodfair when im in a hurry.

There are many nik pics I have at food fair. Price and what not. But sometimes they are cheaper. Like last week on pepsi cubes. Sometimes food may be expired but that is with any store. Mice? yea I seen one. But you know "you got to know" walmart is full of them. Chicken is frozen "I hate that" But for my quick purchases I make almost daily to every other day I love them!

Good job generalizing everyone "my fix". Good to know I'm one of 'You People'. How in the world would you know that the original poster or anyone else for that matter, has stated all that you claim we stated about the other grocers? You don't. I have never once commented on any thread about another grocer around here for lack of a reason to and if the handicapped space is blocked constantly, at any of these places, then it is a legitimate gripe. We know you just luuuuuuuuuuvvv your food fair and that's just so precious, but you can't tell everybody that they're "fickel" just because they don't agree with one grocers antics.

I think he/she was commenting on people who are attacking foodfair. I think it's dead on. I also love foodfair!

Walmart is awesome why would anyone go anywhere else withto all the great values. Why should anyone care about the fact all the money goes to one family as long as we keep giving them the cash we wont have to worry about our neighbors and friends opening stores and employing people around ashland to work. Lets all just do what were told and keep feeding the cancer thats destroying the free enterprise system and be fat and happy on our welfare and food stamps.

All I want is for them to open the spaces that have been designated for those with handicap parking permits. What they are doing is not right.

You know, you could do as someone suggested and go in and actually talk to someone about it. Or, you could stick with your passive aggressive "boycott" and make sure to tell the internet about how amazing and principled you are while not actually doing anything about the issue you claim is bothering you so much. I'm sure once they realize that you haven't been in to stock up on oatmeal, depends, and cat food, they'll put two and two together and fix the problem.

I see that the original post came from Greenup KY and I am wondering how often you are in South Ashland to shop at Foodfair. I doubt you boycotting a grocery store a good 20 - 30 miles away from you is going to affect the profit/loss of that particular business

I am so shocked with the responses this thread has got on the handicapped situation. Why must you debate the topic of this mans disabilities i have a friend who is in a wheel chair and they go need to accommodate disable people a little better even when you walk thru the check out lines you cannot get a wheel chair thru to check out.

untill you have been in a wheelchair,or taken care of someone who is,you do not realize what a big difference a ramp or a space can mean.sometimes its as simple as a 2 inch step up making things harder.have you ever tried to push someone confined to a wheelchair over a small step?its harder then you think.as for telling management, have you seen the condition of the parking lot?the outdated food, the nasty deli?they do not care folks.

They moved it, more or less. A few mums in the no parking area right in front of the doors is all that's there now.

You're not very observant or you would realize that the location of the poster could be from anywhere on the planet. If they are using a cell phone it could be Indiana or New York or really anywhere. Hop around on topix and you will learn a very valuable lesson that you just might not soon forget. Thank you for your attention on this matter.
