My family doctor as told me that I should start the social security process because of a lot of health problems. Anyone have suggestions on what lawyer is the best? I don't know which way to turn at this point and would appreciate whatever comments you might have. Thanks!

To be honest.... Start the process yourself.. why let an attorney have 25% or up to $6000.00 of benefits that you could use yourself?? you can actually go online and start the filing process in the privacy of your own home @ www.socialsecurity.gov then go to the disability tab and complete the application and the medical portion... make sure that you submit each portion and print off the medical release form and sign it and turn into your local office OR if you dont have a working printer .. go into any SSA office and sign a medical release form and .... DO IT YOURSELF! WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY... If you get denied.. then consider getting an attorney ... hope this helps...

The company "Allsup" (look them up online) has a higher rate of SS Disability acceptance than any attorney. Most of the time you get approved on the first go round.

The best lawyer for this would be Mary Hall. She is almost disabled herself and would know how to fight for you. She has had about 15 plastic surgeries just so that you can make out the fact that she is a human being. She has a lisp and is blind in one eye. She had to have a third nipple removed from her chest and also had to have her anus redone because of too much usage. Her strategy usually ends up with her wearing clothes that don't fit right and showing off her black bra to the judge. You'll be able to recognize her because she always has a canker sore on her lip. Don't pay any attention to her rotten fish smell, she tries to only clean herself for court appearances. Have a great day!:)

And you can also do your own dental work, if you'd like.

Not very good advice at all...

Thanks to all that are trying to help and not just be nasty. I've worked for 42 years, not been on welfare and I'd be able to retire in just 4 years if I could keep working full time. For the past year, all I've been able to manage is part time. I've had three spine surgeries. Now there is further damage and it is not operable at this time and may never be. Hubby passed away 2 years ago, so it's not like he can do anything to help any more either. I have no children and not because I didn't want any. Therefore, this is my only hope. Again, thanks to all who are trying to help. It is deeply appreciated.
