You have lost your mind. It IS trashy and its full of trashy people, including the skanky people they hire to work there. I went there because my addict daughter and my addict sister convinced me that they could get help there. Omg, what a joke. Of course it is just an easier way for them to get a buzz. My sister still uses street drugs and manages to get her methadone too.
For someone whose family is afflicted with addiction you are not very sympathetic. A daughter and a sister! I guess your experience with them must have made you very bitter but that does not justify your spreading your bitterness to other people you don't even know. Besides an attitude like yours does not encorage anyone to do well in treatment. Maybe your sister will improve if you call her 'trashy' less often and show her more kindness. I Will put them in a prayer chain. Even with methadone maintenance, it still takes God's grace to overcome addiction.

I keep reading everyone saying doctors help people, not keep them hooked, I must disagree. I don't currently, nor have I ever attended a methadone clinic but I have been in treatment for addiction to opiates. I spent 14 months in an in-patient treatment facility in Maine. I had to pay the $45,000 cost of treatment out of my own pocket.
Now, as for the reason I entered into treatment, it was because of my family physician. Two days before my 58th Birthday I had a radical hysterectomy and a oopherectomy. The surgeon, who happened to be my Doctors Brother, left a piece of my ovarie inside me when he closed me up. I was sent home with several prescriptions, one of them was hydrocodone 10/325mg.
Unfortunately the pain never went away and I was getting sicker. My Dr. Decided to step up my antibiotics and he wrote me a new perscription for Oxycottin 40mg. That day was the beginning of a 3 year Hell. Eventually I had another surgery to fix the problem after almost dying from the level of Infection in my body. It took 6 months for my body to recover.
Even after I was healed my Dr continued to write the pain meds. I told him several times that I felt I didn't need the pills any longer. He told me that my body had become dependent on the pain meds and that it could kill me to stop cold turkey. His solution was to switch me from six 40 mg pills a day to three 80 mg pills a day. For the next 2 years he wrote me 120 oxycottin 80mg pills each month. I tried to stop taking them several time, but each time I felt like I was dying. Finally I went to a clean living facility, I've now been clean 3 years.
My Doctor has since lost his Medical License and there are several law suits against him by other people who had very similar experiences with him. Needless to say, not all doctors help people, some are just bad. Maybe the clinic Doctors are trying to fix the damage cause by bad Doctors.

Dr. Rose doesn't even see the patients!! All she does is sit back and count the cash. She has a huge bunch of clients that are now addicted to Methodone being seen and dispensed by her staff. At least with Suboxone there is no high and people can actually tapper off and finally be off of medication completely. Dr. Rose does not taper people off of Meth. If she did, she would be out of business. Find Suboxone if you need help!!

first off you doctor was a quack for writing you six oc's a day, he improperly prescribed the drug and he should have his dea registration suspended or revoked, oxycontin is a 12 hour time release pill and it should be prescribed at two a day not three times a day and especially not six

She plainly stated that the Doctor had
his license revoked.
That is a terrible story of how a careless doctor caused someone's life to be altered in such a heartbreaking way. Congratulations to you Wanda for coming out a winner and beating this terrible addiction. The sad thing is there are so many people that end up addicted to these pain pills in such a seemingly innocent way. There are times when a person legitimately needs pain medication. I blame the new meds like OxyContin that get a person addicted so quickly and powerfully. In a case like mentioned by Wanda when you have surgery (especially when the surgeon makes a terribly grievous error) you are truly in pain and should be able to take something to make that pain bearable. This situation should not a sentence to addiction. I think it is wonderful that you were able to afford an inpatient treatment, but not many people I know could afford $45,000 out of pocket expenses. Let's keep and appreciate Dr Rose and the Ultimate Treatment Center and try to encourage all that go there or need to go there to work their treatment plan and get off the drugs!!

where do i start.... when i first started at ultimate treatment center 2 & half yrs ago, my intake took 3 hrs!! i was so pissed of then but its been over a yr now and it has been 8 months since i have been clean and off of methadone. now i can i see and actually understand what their routine has done for me. i got drug screens every wk! and an action is taken every time if u r dirty. i had group and individual counselling every wk!! and its a must! a guy was kicked out because he was never clean and once came in high. Dr Rose told him when he is ready to get clean he can return. i was always offered a chance to detox and was offered opportunities to get my life on track. they waited until i was ready and i did!! now i am back in school and i am so greatfull to Dr Rose and her entire staff. they also treat alcoholics too, not just methadone and suboxone.
for those who don't understand please do not bash the place. it is extremly difficult for those who are addicts. we dont all have the will power, money or support (financially or emotionally)that others have.

well, it seems like you have been there before. why not try comparing ultimate treatment center to huntington clinic and you will see its 1000 times better. and have you seen suboxone prices? i know i chose methadone due to price. so i can't say or vouch for suboxone. all i can say is that methadone works!!! hw many times do you get to see your doctor? i saw Dr Rose 4 times during my whole stay. when i first strated, then for my physical, when i decided to reduce my dose and when i finally got off. and she also helped me with my birth control pills. i always saw my counselors even when i wasnt due. i still went for counceling for 2 months before i officially left the clinic. for anybody who needs treatment dont listen to ignorant people get the facts.

Dr. Rose doesn't count the money, she has somebody do that for her. I go to the clinic & I am so tired of all of the ignorant people saying how they just count their money in their offices. I also hate hearing that all of the people that go there are idiots. I can only speak for myself, but I have a masters degree from marshall. of course the clinic takes a lot of money in, it is a business. businesses operate to make a profit, any idiot can tell you that. think about all of the expenses that the clinic has. first of all the building is brand new, inside and out. the secretaries, nurses, accountant and counselors all of their salaries have to be paid. the utlities: electricity, cable (yes they have it), gas, etc. i have been to a few other clinics and i can honestly say that this is the only one that the employees actually care and you are treated like a person, not just a number. there is a counselor there that only came to this area because he heard how bad the drug problem is in this area. if suboxone works for you that's great, however it did not work for me. suboxone is more expensive, but if you give clean urinalysis she will right you a prescription. methadone is considered the gold standard for opiate addiction treatment. when someone does begin taking it, it can make you sleepy. after a little bit of time you can't really tell that you have taken it. i have heard every counselor there talk about taking methadone as long as neccesary and then getting off of it. sorry about the lack of capital letters, i got a little lazy.

I have never heard so many negative people in my life! Even If you tried methadone and it didn't work for you don't put down other ppl for the very thing you did yourself! I was a bad addict and went to the clinic for a year and I am completely clean now! While on methadone I learned to Live a normal life... Not chasing pills or putting myself in danger for them. Now I'm off of it all and will never touch it again!Just bc it didnt wrk for you doesnt mean it wont wrk for others so how about keep your negativity to yourself!!! What's the point in sitting around putting ppl down that are trying to help themselves???!

I'd like to have a big bowl of methadone and have an x-mas party and leave it out as punch and watch these "straights" get them some cups and just start talking non-stop and then nod off. Would have to be the greatest x-mas party in the Tri-State. I would laugh like a crazy clown in the Bozo circus...

Am I the only person who has an issue with the fact that Dr. Rose permits a Registered Sex Offender with Lifetime Status work there?
Renee the counselor is a Registered Sex Offender. Her victim was 13 years old at the time of the offense. I would guess that her victim was a little girl, only because Renee is an "out of the closet" lesbian.
She lives in Huntington, but works in Ky., so she is registered with KSP under the name Lora Renee Richardson.
