You always read on this site about who are bad moms & the worst moms. What I would like to know is who are the great moms in this town! The ones that actually take care of their kids & deserve a shout out!

You really cant even post about good ppl bc as soon as you put their name on here someone will find something horrible to say about them. It was a nice idea tho.

I could give a list but it would be kinda short... I have 2 beautiful kids. They are spoiled rotten. I put all of the time and energy that I have into playing with my kids. My son loves to play outside and my daughter is just a baby so she loves to watch him play. All in all, I think I am. My children are at the top of my priority list. Isn't that how it should be.

It's not good to spoil them rotten, they will grow into unappreciative adults who want everything handed to them. There's enough of those around here.

I have two teenage boys, they dont get anything handed to them. They dont get paid to do chores because doing dishes and taking out the garbage are a part of living in the home (until they can pay rent) If they want money they have to do extra jobs around the house or the neighborhood. I have told them since they were little that all the state says is I have to provide them with a roof over their head, food in their bellies (not micky d's or any other fast food) and clothes on their back and they are not going to be any designer clothes. They have been doing their own laundry since they were 8.I want them to appriciate things. I want them to know that hard work and only hard work gets rewarded. I want them to know that in order to have things in life you have to pay for them. Nothing comes free.
People might think that I am mean and dont care about my boys - but actually it is the opposite I love my boys very much and care very deeply for them. I want them to have a better life than I do. And if you ask them they say they have the best mom in the world. So I must be doing something right.

I think that catlettsburg mom has it right, that seems like the best way to raise a child to be a well balanced adult.

Thanks Ashley - I just dont want to have spoiled kids that think the world owes them something. I want them to know that nothing comes easy before they get out into the real world. My oldest son works and buys all his own disigners clothes. Which makes him take better care of them. They both have game systems that they have worked for and they take very good care of them because they know how much they had to work to get them.

You need to give out lessons on parenting, then maybe we would have more responsible people in this area. Good job teaching your kids that everyone has to work for a living
