Eagle Butte denies assaulting officer

An Eagle Butte man has pleaded not guilty in the assault of a state trooper last month near Mobridge . via Rapid City Journal

And Texan in OK, you wouldn't know if Eagle Butte would be a better place to live since you obviously DON'T live there so you wouldn't know. Now that's the funniest thing I've herad all year. Crap, 1 of these guys wondered around the Reservation for a couple of weeks and then didn't get caught until he left the Reseration.
When the State and/or Federal Govs. actually do something about the Tribal Entities(its good to have family in HIGH places) that protect and harbor these Criminals then these Criminals can/will continue to get awy with the Crimes they commit.

i know sid, and believe me, eagle butte was bad before he got to eagle butte, just becuz he's in jail doesn't mean shit. If any of you know eagle butte, then you know that he didn't run shit in town, hell he hardly ever came outside, and when he did, it's not the whole world came falling down. there was no panic, not even when he was on the run. if you do the crime you'll do the time, and then when you get out and see all the shit talking on the internet about you, you'll do another crime against the shit talker's... by then, who gives a fuck, you can do time again. the federal penal system is detaining alot of skins, throughout the nation. alot of them are put in jail for petty crimes, that people off the rez, only get probation or fines. every jail in the nation has alot of our brothers and sisters in locked up. some are guilty and deserve punishment, and some don't deserve to be there. but they are. thanks to our so called indian sovereignty and jurisdiction. i applaude say say, and believe we do have to get out and experience what life has to offer. the rez will always be there. it's a big world out there, and believe it or not the social programs are alot better out there, then on the rez. we take what crumbs the government gives the indians, and what left overs the state allows the tribes to have (after they take there cut off it).
racism on the rez is worse than on the outside. east side vs west side, ieska"s, cowboys, skins, darkskined indians, lightskined indians, urban indians, rez indians, etc see what i mean.

I'm just glad they caught the guys. With a father in law enforcement, I know I was sweating a little. I feel horrible for the trooper, he still has to go to work after all of this. It's a tough enough job without getting assaulted and left for dead on the side of the road. I'm just glad the bad dudes didn't decide to off a couple of rounds before leaving. eesh

south dakota, is known accross the nation as the mississipi of the midwest. racism is felt by people of color throughout the state. which is probly why when a indian gets into trouble the media jumps on it with both feet, so to speak. you rarely hear about the native people who are doing good, but when one gets into trouble, check the news. when sid was on the run, the media played it up so much, i thought it was going to be southern justice(shoot first and ask questions later). theres alot of trigger happy crackers out there, who would like nothing better than to blow some skin away. we know this on the rez. but sometimes our own tribal police, also have this same mentality.

no matter what we do as natives, when we get to a whitemans court, we're the ones are the bad ones i for one experienced my daughter was in jail in rapid city penn.co. jail and they treated her like she was a murderer and i believe that if she was a white bitch the lawyer and the so-called honorable judge would of let her go alongtime ago.
