I remembered when asheville pediatrics was in that building, it was on the 2nd floor. That elevator is old and needs replaced. Same with the elevator in the ELM building at abtech.

I hope you never have the displeasure of going to the former Days Inn downtown (now "Downtown Inn"). I had the unfortunate experience of working there when I was a younger man.

The owner refused to pay for a maintenence contract and would wait until the motor started giving out and caused the car to jerk before he would call for service.

He NEVER had the pit swept out. No telling how many needles, and other junk were down there.

The place was a dump and I'm guessing still is. I don't know the story behind it not being a Days Inn anymore, but I'm guessing they finally jerked his franchise. I recall it regularly being one of the lowest rated properties in the Days Inn system for customer satisfaction.

I can remember when it was a hospital. I had an aunt that was a patient there one time and when my parents went to visit her us kids played in the park across the street. Back then the park was safe. I also remember when there was a hospital there on Charlotte Street in that brick building beside I240.

It was Aston Park hospital, and the old Mission Hospital was on Charlotte.

Cool, come up with the $100K to renovate each elevator and you'll be a HERO! Other than that, take the stairs! They don't seem to be broken or worn out!

helifino. Did you get to see the beautiful personal ad that someone posted for me, complete with my email address, probably from my profile,. I was suprised at how nice it was. Strange things are happening and the moon isn't even full. Poor Trans got a personal ad too, with his old email address, but his wasn't so nice.

It's "You're lazy," not "Your lazy." Please learn the difference between the two. I'd rather be lazy than stupid.

You're speaking of the days of yore when your children were required to be able to read the diploma they received on graduation day. They are unable to read today because they're over there behind the school smoking their crack pipes.
