People tend to run in "gangs" in this forum and you will quickly learn who agrees with who, who is a bully, and that you have to be very thick skinned to stay for any length of time. Ive had a few of those nasty comments aimed at me, but I just figure they are somewhat warped and move on. Of course, its different when you find you have someone who has a disagreeing opinion than you do who replies to every post you make concerning a subject. I have one of those but find them more annoying than anything else.

Sounds like a cyberstalker!LOL Well I suppose you have to take the good with the bad, and in the end nobody really knows who anybody is on here unless you tell so....their nasty comments only show how secure they are with themselves. That goes for me too. Sometimes I can be immature, but atleast i can admit it.:)

If you say something negative about Dr. Lori Cummings of FemCare, then you do not know Lori Cummings. She is one of the most compassionate, understanding women I have every met. She provides a service for women and girls who find themselves in a situation where they feel helpless. If there was true love and compassion in this world from all those people who do nothing but criticize and judge, then many of our social problems could be solved. I do wish some of these people would do as their Good Book says to do and that is to not pass judgement. They are so far away from living their lives as Jesus taught that I think many will be very surprised one day. And they can't understand why the rest of us don't follow in their footsteps?
And just for the sake of correct information - the previous commentator, Meredith Eugene Hunt, has been the loudest, rudest, and most insulting person in Asheville, NC against FemCare and women in general. It's not that surprising to see that he lists his address as Jax, FL. He has been a resident of Asheville for years. Then again, maybe we have lucked out and he has decided to take his fake plastic babies that he passes off as aborted embryos and use that idiotic and completely false tactic on another group of people. I'm sure Floridians will recognize his lunacy and will ignore his ignorance just as Ashevillians have.
Here is some of my lunacy, again--a direct quote from a recent Asheville Citizen-Times article, a quote with which I began this thread:

"Cummings and Femcare, Western North Carolina’s sole public abortion provider, perform abortions only up to 12 weeks of gestation, but Cummings said the D&X option needs to be available for those in need.“There are times when there are 13-weekers and 14-weekers and the head is not accounted for. If you do an ultrasound and see that it’s still in there, then you have to go back as a separate procedure,” Cummings said.“People are worried that that is what they are going to call a ‘partial-birth,’ that part of the fetus was removed without the other part. This is what everyone is up in arms about.”

How understanding and compassionate!

Here's a ridiculous article written by this Asheville resident:

The most ridiculous part is where I quote an abortionist in the Asheville Citizen-Times where he admits that abortion kills a small baby. It's so ridiculous!

(Can someone tell me how to shed this ridiculous Jacksonville tag?)

You and Kevin Roeten need to get together and whine about your womb obsession and how you can't control women's wombs.

Suicide is illegal. Abortion is not.
In the U.S. suicide has never been treated as a crime nor punished by property forfeiture or ignominious burial. Some states (ND, SD, WA, NJ, NV, OK) list it on the books as a felony but impose no penalty.

When is "the breath of life" breathed into "the nostrils?" At conception? At two weeks? Two months? How about when the doctor or midwife cracks you on the butt? Hmmm?

As I said to Flip Benham "If your not God and your uterus is not involved, abortion is none of your buisness".

Abortion should not be available. For murder to be legal is a travesty! No woman has the right to kill.
Abortions, as performed in this country, are not "murder". You cannot murder a fertilized egg and that is all that is aborted in this country. It is against the law to abort anything other than an embryo (which is a fertilized egg that is not yet formed into anything human). So the continued usage of such inflammatory words exposes the ignorance of the person using them.

Well said. And what a private person chooses to do, as long as it is legal, is none of the publics business.
What is "choice?" Do you really understand the meaning and definition of choice and the consequences of being pro-choice? "Choice" is a nice, innocent-sounding and safe code-word that really means, "I choose to support the murder of innocent, helpless and defenseless babies. Choice and those who choose to be pro-choice are under the illusion that think saying they are pro-choice is an innocent, nicer-sounding and safer code-word... that really means you support the murder of the most innocent of all human life, the defenseless, unborn baby.

There's just no polite or nice way to say I want to have my unborn baby killed by paying a doctor to "terminate my pregnancy" through legal abortion. Even saying "I want to terminate my pregnancy" is a code since everyone knows that a person isn't pregnant with a blob of tissue. When someone is "pregnant," that means there is a baby boy or girl in their womb. So, the ultra-extremists from the left, can't use "terminate my pregnancy" because it actually means, to everyone that hears it, that there's a baby that is being "terminated" or a baby is about to be killed.

We can talk about the science of it, we can talk about the moral of it. But for hundreds of years women have ended pregnancies. Whether it was talked about or not, people found themselves in situations where they felt that they did not have what was necessary to properly take care of a child. Now, here is where I stand. I do not believe in abortion as birth control. I believe abortion should be provided in a safe and compassionate way to those who feel that they have NO OTHER CHOICE. I do believe that adoption is a fantastic way, but again... there are many children still waiting to be adopted. I believe in the case of rape or incest, it should definitely be available at no cost to the pregnant female. These are just my views... and regardless of my opinion it is a medical issue and shouldn't be just so easily taken away... because it will never GO away. In the 50's abortions were illegal and many women got back alley abortions that ended up killing them or keeping them from having children in the future.
