Julie has gotten into a new habit that is a little grating. When she is doing the weather, her voice tends to descend an octave into what I would consider muttering. It really makes it difficult to hear what she is saying. Again, WLOS is an amateur training station. Anyone who is there over a year is an perennial trainee. I watch the station briefly in the AM to catch the weather and hopefully some interesting news. My hopes are usually dashed about the news, because the station loves to run the same item over and over and over.
Then there is Jay Siltzer. What can I say?? The man has the personlity of a clam. I think funeral directing would be a better calling for Jay. And if he says "the mountains of North Carolina" one more time, I think thatI will barf. Jay, what other frigging mountains would we be talking about? It's kind of superfluous!! "In the Asheville area" or "our area" would do just nicely.

The one saving grace on the AM news is Lee Anne Long. But, she is good and probably won't be there for ever.

If there were another station in Asheville, I wouldn't be watching WLOS. But, alas, Asheville is hardly a major market.

Simple solution to not liking what is on a particular station would be to change the channel and stop whining about it!

Julie tends to make the weather lots worse than what it is. She is a person that I do not care to watch. But again, she probably will not be there for long. Victoria and Russ are the two that speaks where people can understand them. I too, do not watch 13 news very much

WLOS is fortunate to have Jason Boyer. Very professional, and accurate. Hope Jason will stay and the station will realize they should keep him. Keep up the good work Jason.

He too will soon fatigue with all the biscuit eating and gravy slobbering southern rednecks around, and move on to a major metropolitan station where he can collect some serious income. As for Julie, you can hate all you want, but she's actually talking down to you southern bumpkins. Would you rather she point and grunt at the map like your inbred relatives did on the front porch while raising their finger skyward?
