Did anyone on here besides a couple of people go to the funeral? Well I did and it was among the worst things I have ever been through in my life. I wanted to die myself last night because it was so sad. I talked to Sean and Brandon and right now they need your prayers too because they just lost a good friend. The issue right now is not about Brandon "killing" two other people. Brandon did not have nothing to do with killing Josh because he was coming to help him. Brandon did not kill him. Kennedy may be a different story but killing is not on accident and that was a complete accident. This forum is about the other 5 people involved in the wreck besides him. One, Justin, is deceased, Brandon is okay and he is going to make it, Sean is okay and he is going to make it, the other 3 who knows. I am trying to post all the correct information I know and let people find out about the conditions of Matt, Krystina, and Corey. As for Corey they were going to let him wake up yesterday but who knows how that went because I have not heard. I talked to a guy last night who was supposed to go with them and he will let me know whenever we hear something about Corey because he has been with Corey all weekend. All I know is the funeral was heartbreaking and I waited in line from 6:10-8:00 and still did not get to see the family so what does that tell you. Justin's mom and whole family needs your prayers and so does the families of the others. If I find out anything I will let you people know and you do the same if you hear anything about them. As for talking about Brandon he is okay and this madness needs to stop.

CROSSNORE — A former McDowell County sheriff’s deputy who earlier this year was involved in a crash that killed a 2-year-old girl was a passenger in a fatal crash over the weekend.

Brandon Watson, who pleaded no-contest Aug. 20 to misdemeanor charges in a collision that killed Kennedy Frye of Bakersville, was one of five passengers in a car driven by Matthew Taylor when it crashed along U.S. 221 in Avery County on Saturday, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol. Twenty-two-year-old Justin Daniels was killed. No other vehicle was involved in the crash. The cause is under investigation.

Watson was responding to a domestic disturbance call the night of Feb. 6 when he plowed his police cruiser into the back of a car driven by Kimberly Frye on Interstate 40 near Old Fort.

An investigation showed he was traveling between 105 and 115 mph when he struck the car without braking. He also was not operating his flashing lights or siren.

Thank you for keeping us posted and thanks for your positive words about Brandon. He is my close relative and I think that people should just stop with this nonsense about him. I spoke to him today and the funeral for Justin was very difficult for everyone. Please keep them all in your prayers. They are going to need it. God Bless you!

I have read each and everyone of the statements you have made on this site. Honestly, I believe
all must have something better to do. My nephew is dead. He made the choice to go to a bar, he made the choice to get into a vehicle with his
friend. He knew he was drunk. Life is all about
choices that each one of us makes. What will be your choice? Please wake up young people. You
are not invensible. You can be killed by your choices. There is no one to blame but you.

i personally think that a lot of you need to stop talking about brandon and everyone else. this was an accident. it was not meant to happen and i am praying for each of these people that were in the accident. yes i can say that my cousin walked away from it with about 100 stitches and horrible road rash, but i also knew all the others and one was almost like family. matt corey and krystina are all still fighting for their lives and everyone on here is just fighting for the sake of fighting. you should use the time typing all these horrible things for praying. each person in that car needs your prayers and JDs family needs your prayers. i could not make it to the funeral but my mother said it was one of the worst things she had ever been through. just pray. pray for matt corey krystina sean brandon and justins friends and family. i just want all of them to be alright and im sure the rest of you do to. thank you and please pray instead of fighting

Being from Avery County DOES NOT make you stupid, however being human does. All humans make stupid mistakes. Being from Roaring Creek does not make you a drunk, drug user, or a killer. There are many fine and wonderful people from Avery County including people from Roaring Creek. What happened over the week-end is a tragedy - I pray for every person that is and will be effected by this. God Bless You All - even you Johnny.

Thanks so much. You are exactly right. We all as young teens at their age, we thought that we was indispensable, until we found out we wasn't. I will pray for all of these young people, that maybe a lesson will be learned from this experience. I hope that the Daniels can go on from this tragedy. My heart breaks for them.

I really don't know why everyone wants to get on here and argue back and forth for. It only makes things worse for the vicims and their families. The fact is that one person is dead and 5 others injured and they need everyone's prayers and support right now!

Hi I just seen this posted and I first want to say that my husbands and my prayers go out to Justin's family and the families of Cory, Krystina, Matt and Brandon. We are both former grads from Avery High and although I didn't speak to any of them I knew who they were. It's a very sad thing to hear and it doesn't matter if you knew them your whole life or if you just pass them in the halls it will get the best of anyone. Our thoughts and may prayers to everyone involved.

I will say once again that these two circumstances are not related. Why do you keep bringing this into the equation. The accident in February is in no way related to the one on Friday. You are only confusing yourself.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Justin. Brandon speaks very highly of him and he was a wonderful young man! May you and your family find peace and comfort in the days ahead and know that you will see him again someday! God Bless you all!
