<snip>Barack Obama despises America.

Americans overwhelmingly view the men and women who saved Europe and the Far East during World War II as comprising the Greatest Generation. By his comments and actions, President Obama obviously thinks otherwise.

Obama did not honor American greatness on the 60th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift while on his first European trip. Instead, he accused "America [of having] shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive" toward its European allies.

He also denigrated the accomplishments of the American G.I. during World War II in the Pacific theater when he offered a thinly veiled apology for the U.S. having dropped the A-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those acts brought the war to a swift conclusion, perhaps saving hundreds of thousands of lives when it appeared Japan was prepared to wage an island-by-island battle to the last man.

Obama ordered the release of the so-called CIA "torture memos," seriously damaging delicate intelligence relations with allied nations and placing at grave risk the safety of U.S. intelligence officers working overseas. The impact of his action handcuffs the ability of U.S. intelligence officials to protect the U.S. and American interests from acts of terrorism.

In a matter of weeks last spring, Obama gave deference to a variety of belligerent leaders while stiff-arming longtime American allies. First, he called for closer relations with Cuba while ignoring that nation's long list of continuing human rights abuses. Then he warmly welcomed Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez at an Organization of American States summit.

There is an excellent summary of obama at the link. Long but well worth the read.

Well that makes me want to read it more than before you told me Michelle Malkin likes it.

And because you don't like and disparage Michelle Malkin, an Asian-American, that makes you a racist!

That was over half a century ago. Not only are Hiroshima and Nagasaki rebuilt and thriving, but the people who were alive during that time are dead. And the people who may still be alive have healed their emotional scars.

Move along, Japan. We don't care for YOUR arrogance and errors. You want to attack Pearl Harbor again? We won't use just two nukes this time. Tokyo looks *pretty* damned sweet.

In truth Obama is nothing more than a divider, one who tries to bring divisiveness between races. If one were to be truthful with themselves they would realize what a great contribution all men and women made to build this country into the greatest in the world. A lot of people suffered during this time period, some were slaves and some were not. For any person to claim that they are owed something because of something that took place before they were born is wrong. They should be proud that their ancestors were part of the building of this country. My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee which makes me one eighth Indian. Am I entitled to retributions? The answer is no. Could I get retributions? The answer is yes. I would not accept any handout on the backs of my people who suffered greatly. I am proud that they had a part in building this country.

I went to the park the other day and saw a young black father playing basketball with his three young kids. Talk about an uplifting experience to watch this Dad watch and teach his kids about life in general with his words and action. I then watched another white guy tell his young son to hurry up, that he didn't want to bring him there to start with, among some other harsh words.

This is what I constantly battle with here. I am tired of everyone wanting a handout and playing right into the hand of Government control. It is as plain as day to see what is going on here. Blacks, Whites and Hispanics are being fed garbage daily to make them believe the Government is the only ones that care about them. They have to be taught to think for themselves and taught a work ethic at the same time. It is called tough love.
For those that wish to ride the pity my ancestors train, they need to be left behind.

With all that said I cannot stomach another day of Obama and his administration preaching that they are the saviors of the world. Follow them and you will find yourself enslaved like no man has ever witnessed

That was excellent. Way to breathe and type what you feel and why.
I feel the exact same way you do as far as entitlements are concerned. Our heritage sounds quite close to similar. It went beyond what I could fathom or stomach last year to hear what the Cherokee children are receiving when they graduate from high school! It explained a lot of what I have witnessed over the years and if sports did not lead me that way still, I would never set foot over there again. When I do have to go, I am quiet and calm but, oh so grateful to come back home. I am not cruel to or against them as individuals, but I am not going to feel sorry for or indebted to them forever either.

As I feel it, we have several groups of people who should be our nation's top priority in this day and age and those are our Armed Forces, our abandoned, abused, or neglected children, our disabled and elderly, and our hard working citizens out of work because our government failed them so miserably. Not a government they mooched off of but a government they paid well and dearly to to do the right thing.

Very well stated, What! My husband and I both worked on two of the Harrah's expansions. The general contractor and subs on both jobs had to hire at least a 60% Cherokee workforce, and anyone not Cherokee had to be "approved" by the Cherokee Employment Commission. It was disheartening, to say the least, to know that each and every day you went to work, you would be "working" with someone that was 1) in no way interested in learning a 'trade' which could be used the rest of their lives; 2) making the same, if not more, per hour as you, a journeyman at your field; and 3) once they got their stipend check, you would not see them again!

Who knows, one of my ancestors could have very well been a slave or even Cherokee. But I don't expect nor deserve preferential treatment because of this. Hell, I am a woman who has spent well over half her life trying to make it in a man's employment world. Everything I have is because I have worked HARD for it! Because I LOVE what I do, and want to EARN it - as all of my family and their family!

Thanks, I took our son there and showed him his heritage. I also explained what the government was doing to these people by placing a price on their history. The mistake was when they accepted it. Now, many but not all have turned to drugs, drinking and a life that has no meaning. I see their Grandparents saddened at the life of their young. Being poor is not a bad thing but being poor and not trying is a disgrace. I am off the box for awhile. Got to get caught up. Have a great Veterans Day and take a moment to remember.

Hi Bobette. I just spent a bit of time responding to you but for some reason, probably me, it isn't here. I will get back to you later. Have to get to work.

Jimmy Carter said that racism is playing a role in the hatred that this president is experiencing...which is partly true. But the question that I asked was, "Who was labeled a racist just because they "disagreed" with him? The people throwing out the "racist" label are people like Rush, Beck and now Rupert Dipchit Murdoock.

The people closest to Obama are throwing this crap out there. He says it in an educated lawyer way. Try again tomorrow
