A prominent Columbia architecture professor punched a female university employee in the face at a Harlem bar during a heated argument about race relations, cops said yesterday. Police busted Lionel McIntyre, 59, for assault yesterday after his bruised victim, Camille Davis, filed charges. McIntyre and Davis, who works as a production manager in the school's theater department, are both regulars at Toast, a popular university bar on Broadway and 125th Street, sources said. The professor, who is black, had been engaged in a fiery discussion about "white privilege" with Davis, who is white, and another male regular, who is also white, Friday night at 10:30 when fists started flying, patrons said. Don't go into bars, drink and get in arguments! That is life in the bar scene! So what's the big deal?

It had to be the white people's fault. Everybody knows black people are NEVER at fault. Just ask Obama, Rev? Wright, Rev? Jackson, or Rev? Sharpton.

A bar is the wrong place to argue politics. Especially when the racial divide is under discussion. I can understand the prof getting angry, but hold him to the law for his violent outburst. BTW, arguing politics is bad enough right here. If words had edges like knives, we'd all be bleeding. And finally, Cornbread, you've been especially petulant here lately. Get something for the prostatitis. Take a long walk.

Aren't you taking this support for all things black just a little bit too far? Aren't y'all the same ones who said string up the kids for a food fight in school or for ordering a happy meal in rap? Selectively offended by crime I see....

Your old testament prescribes a minimum of capital punishment for irreverence. God even exterminated the elders when the kids broke bad. Remember when the sons of Israel made whoredom with the daughters of Moab and God hung up the elders to die in the hot sun? Well, no, you wouldn't remember. You pharisees, sadducees, and xians don't even know what's in your holy book.

Shame on that man, regardless of race. But then, blacks are known for their violence against women.

Jesse Jackson slapped a woman on his staff, the woman I happen to know very well, btw, and who now works for the State Department. She got over it and wrote about it in her book.

No, but linking up a story about it and trying to attach racial undertones to it, is a bit hyperbolic, don't you think? Or, have you posted links about white guys punching black women in the face? I don't condone violence on any level but I'm realistic to know that pathetic behavior exists on a daily basis, unfortunately. But I see no need in posting a story about it.

You've again got nothing to contribute, so resort to some off the wall, incomprehensible post against Christianity. Pathetic that you're so jealous of my faith it eats at you daily. lolololol

I just wish she would have been carrying pulled it out and blew him away. A small lady in fear for her life would have been legal.
