My prayers go out to the family... Special prayers for the children involved!!! With that being said, people you have got to make sure your children are all safe in vehicles, for you never know when something like this is going to happen!!! Why risk your childrens lives?? Like I always say, it's not my driving that scares me!

Thank you, I like being stupid if its my given right to be stupid. In fact when I do stupid things, it reminds me how stupid peoples opinions can be of stupid people's opinions.

I still don't understand why parents don't make sure their children are in seat belts. Seven people in a Honda Accord is just pure stupidity! I cannot recount the number of times I have seen this same situation on the road, and there never seems to be a police officer to see this. Now there are two young children without parents, and the taxpayers will probably have to pay for the funerals of the other family members. Personally, I would rather MY tax money go for more officers to keep watch for such situations.
You are a very inconsiderate bitch. Instead of worrying about your tax dollars you should be more concerned with the lives that were snatched away from us. Joi was my sister and instead of complaining about what should have been but what wasn't you should be sending prayers. My babies are gone and all you can seem to do is worry about "better ways to spend your tax money". But for your info tax dollars won't be covering the cost of the funerals because she has family and friends that love her and the boys and they will all be truly missed. So please keep your negative comments to yourself bitch and allow us time to grieve for our lost. The same questions you have, we've asked ourselves time and time again with no answers, even with answers the pain will remain.

For those who do not wear seatbelts did you know that some insurance carriers will not pay on claims if you are in an accident and was not wearing a seatbelt. It does not matter if it was your fault or not. It is like the motorcycle law that if you do not wear a helment in NC, they will not payout on any claims if there is an accident. I have had a friend who had to pay their complete medical bill because she was not wearing her seatbelt and she was the one hit. She did sue the driver and win.
I admire you for standing up for your rights. Just be careful out there and stay safe.

I don't think that their criminal records matter, now!!! If you don't have a heart to care about the adults, you should at least think of the children. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all involved!!!

These folks only did not have common sense about having 5 kids in the back seat of a Honda Accord; it also seems like Mr. Christopher Burgin's criminal record involves an extensive amount of vehicle violations. These kind of people do not pay for car insurance. They just ride. Take a look at his criminal record including "ASSAULT ON FEMALE"! http://webapps6.doc.state.nc.us/opi/viewoffen...
I think i'm missing something?? What does his criminal record or his violation report have to do with the fact that he has expired from this life? Instead of trying to find the negatives in this situation you should be trying to pray for the surviving family members. Do me a favor investigate how to love and not hate.

Instead of being concerned for the families of Joi, Jermaine, and their children, you are attacking a womans personal life and she isnt here anymore to defend herself. I dont even know her but I no one is perfect. I believe the Bible says, Let those without sin cast the first stone. Also, if I am correct, ONLY GOD IS PERFECT. So instead of trashing this victim, you should be on your knees praying for these families that their lives have been changed forever. Tangie and Natalie, I love you all very much and I am here for you if you need me. I am praying for everyone that this has affected. My GOD comfort you as only he can.

So, because of his past violations, you think that he should have avoided the guy driving the truck from hitting them? Those were past violations, have you ever heard of rehabilitation? The last offense date was in 2004. Everyone has sinned, including yourself.. God does forgive.. he only has two children that are still living.. how are they going to feel without their daddy and their brother not being in their life? Evidently, you have never experienced a tragedy in your life..
everyone, please pray for this person.. he needs rahabilitation for his non-compassion.

Shame on all of you who are making negative comments at this time! Haven't you ever lost a loved one? This is no time to be judge and jurior. That part is not for us to work out. Let law enforcement work that out, and concentrate your thoughts and prayers with the family and friends. the pain of something like this is very far reaching. When I heard the sirens yesterday the fartherest thing from my mind was where my tax dollars were going, but instead, please don't let it be one of my loved ones. Then when my phone didn't ring my heart ached for those who were getting the worst call of their lives.

and to answer your other question.. no, she is not any kin to the insurance man.. and also once again.. her last offense was in 2002 for worthless checks.. she learned her lesson.. no more offenses since then.. as for the money.. are you going to donate any? I hope someone takes up money for the surviving children like they did for the Trooper that was killed..

Well I personally think that it was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was a very good friend with the passenger of the honda and he was known to be a little crazy at times. There is a lot of things wrong with this situation, but there is no one to blame but the driver of the truck! Because of that driver, innocent people lost there lives and 2 of the remaining children is without there father. God Bless you Juice and Jo Jo, and my your soul rest at peace. Knowing what happen makes me so nervous driving my car, I dont think I want to drive anymore. God Bless Your family and your souls!!!!!

I too heard the sirens and then had to pass by the horrible sight on my way home from the grocery store. This accident happened in front of my best friends road and was praying it wasn't her in that car. I am saddened by the loss of life here. Those posting about criminal records or saying hateful things need to go back and reflect what really matters. I must say a BIG THANK YOU to our local EMS, Highway Patrol, Fire Department for getting there as fast as they did. They had secured the area only moments after the accident. I have several youth members that are grieving today from the loss of their friend Kayce. I pray for all involved.

This was a horrible accident. It is a tragedy that will stay in the minds of our community for years to come. All families involved are experiencing such heart ache and that is what we need to concentrate on. There are mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and cousins without these 6 loved ones in their lives now. We need to pray that God wraps his loving arms around each of them and gives them grace in the days ahead.
That stretch of Rosman Highway is not curvy. It's a five lane with a slight curve near Freeman Gas Co. The possibility of the truck blowing a tire has been spoken of. There would have been no reaction time for either party. I don't know if seat belts would have saved those who have perished but it is sad to think of small innocent children not being properly restrained. I hope that this serves as a lesson to others to use seat belts and car seats for your children. Above all else you need to make sure that your heart is right with the Lord. You never know when your time on this earth will be over. I am sure that none of the victims thought that Sunday would have been their last day. May God bless all of the families and the law enforcement and emergency workers involved in this horrible tragedy.

I would bet anything that a cell phone was involved and the P-Up truck driver was texting when he crossed over into the path of the Accord. NC is trying to get a law passed against texting while driving. A woman in CA got 6 years for killing another woman while texting and driving. Maybe the P-Up driver can get 18!

I think that a cold hearted, insensitive, lifeless so called human being like yourself should learn to have some kind of compassion for all fellow human beings who have been struck by a terrible tragedy. Instead you are worried about how your tax money is spent. As a matter of fact, You will be paying for those funerals. Myself and all of the rest of the friends and families who have lost these beautiful people would like to say "THANK YOU!" FOR WORKING ALL OF THOSE HOURS AND YEARS TO PAY FOR MY PEOPLE TO HAVE A PROPER BURIAL! I dont know what the world would do without nice people like yourself!

It is sad how people pass judgment on others. No matter what the situation, there's always someone being negative. It is amazing how some people simply look for the bad - I would NEVER consider pulling anyone's criminal record because it isn't any of my business.

Maybe this family was doing the best they could - maybe there was an emergency - maybe, maybe, maybe ..... calling names brings no comfort to those left to grieve.

None of us here are without mistake. Leave the judging to God.
