Why is the car show called the Carter street bash? Is it not being held at the park anymore? Last years show was alrite but it was way too dusty. Every time a car came in, I had to pull out the duster!!! I'm hoping that it is being held on Carter street and that it's somehow better.

Seems to me like Cheto is oblivious to the Car show. It shows how much interest the locals have in it.That's why piss-ass Towns like ours never can get anything good going because the locals are so dead you couldn't wake them with a trumpet blast!!!

the dust problem has been taken care of. We bought chingos de mangueras to wet the dirt so it wont fly everywhere and get all over the fabulous cars that will be there

This years car show is being held on Carter Street due to several reasons. I asked my cousin who is part of the club. One reason was that the park was of course "dusty". Carter street is fully paved and will also be swept prior to the show. Another reason is because they are expecting a lot more cars this year as well as Big Rigs, so that's going to be awesome. He told me that they will be closing carter street from HWY 83 to the American Legion. Also, another reason is because this year marks chetos 100th anniversay (I can see that CITIZEN doesn't know his ass from his face), and carter being the main street, they figured it would be a better attraction since the asher house would be one block away!.You guys should be happy for the town that this is getting bigger and better. As a matter of fact, one of last years participants purchased some property in asherton. This is great exposure. If you hate the town, the people, and the "clubs" that try and bring people to visit, just get the hell out. Let these guys do their thing. As a matter of fact, you all should be helping.

i choose to disagree with you. I DO know my a$$ from my face. My a$$ is the one that looks like your face!!!! My comment was because nobody had an answer for the question. Thanks for explaining the move and the reasons for it. I totally agree that the strip of street there is perfect for the car show. For your information, I am a part of the show. I told you I showed a car last time. I will go again even though I'm not from Cheto, but I love cars and MOST of the people that surround that hobby. Good luck to the club and I hope they keep getting bigger and better every year in the future!!!
