It will be Interesting to see just how long this man will stay In prison. A woman and a unborn child was worth 8 years If I mistake not. this just makes his second strike I don't know If It takes three to be out like In Baseball or not.

I feel horrible for all of the families involved, this is a very sad situation. But, the fact of the matter is, this man was drunk driving and killed an innocent bystander. He deserves to spend time in jail for this. If people are not punished for their crimes, they will never learn.

it is common knowledge that David has substance abuse problems that date back over 20 years and further. He had syringes in his vehicle and had to be restrained by friends after the crash because "he thought they were going to shoot him". This is rumor coming from me but I was told this by an eye witness. Just shows you how sad the drug and alcohol epidemic is on eastern KY. We should all pray doctors be held accountable for dispensing these weapons of destruction with little forethought and consideration. Look how many lives are destroyed by them. I pray for all souls destroyed by this tragedy.

The only "ignorant" person in this thread is YOU!! Stop taking up for the person who took an innocent persons life! He has been in trouble numerous times. Has spent time in prison....and it did not stop him from doing what he's ALWAYS done! He's going to get what he deserves, PERIOD!!!

you do the crime pay the time and as for the addiction, the person chose to start it so what they become afterwards is their own making

If he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs he should be locked away for life. That way his poor judgements will no longer affect innocent people.

It was not posted in the story because David refused to give blood or urine to the KSP. It was later obtained through samples taken by the hospital after he was admitted. Look, I am not Dave's enemy. All will be revealed in time. People are not casually charged with murder. Obviously, the toxicology report will free or condemn Dave. People are not usually charged with murder when a death occurs in a head on collision unless there are other factors involved. At the very least, high speed was a factor. We will all have our curiosity satisfied soon enough. As far as anyone being "ignorant". I would take a look in the mirror if I were you. At the very least you are naive.
