Extending the sewer lines also while your repaving? Residents then could pay for betterments and then long term sewer use.

Ya don't do Franklin Rd thou,Cuz that doesn't need it right. Friggin City is such a joke.Let me guess, someone important lives on the roads tobe paved right? I haven't been down those roads in awhile. But i travel Franklin everyday. It's pathetic, nevermind the city should dig a ditch to catch all that water. The road is nuts in the winter. But our Awesome Mayor won't do crap.Just waste Money on roads that could probably go 2-3 more years.Great job Fitchburg

Franklin Rd. is not nearly in as bad of a condition as Ringe Rd. I believe Franklin was paved a little more than 10yrs ago. I am very familiar with both roads having owned a house on Franklin Rd and then buying in Ashburnham off of Ringe Rd. only to now be back living off Main St. in Fitchburg. There are drainage ditches on Franklin Rd. But it is hard to get proper drainage due to the fact that it is all bedrock up there. I think Ringe Rd. should be first on the list But I really don't think 31 is all that bad.

what's crazy is that franklin rd. area with the new condos has funneled well over a million dollars each year into the tax stream, but they totally forget about the road that we all travel down to get back and forth to those cash cows. I can't wait for the weather to warm again and we can see the latest and greatest damage from this winter. How about doing something about the literal spring that pours out from the middle of the hill as you first turn onto franklin from fifth mass. I can't wait for the signs to return to the trees, Fix Our Road! There will be more than ever this spring, trust me!

Franklin Rd. must have at least TWICE the traffic use than Rindge Rd. Then again, the old timers on Franklin Rd. probably don't want it paved because then it becomes a speeders paradise.

Franklin Road was repaved recently. It's Rindge Road's turn to be improved. Rindge Road should be classified as a regional road by the state, as a lot of people use it to get to Stodge Meadow Pond in Ashburnham and to Rt 119 near Watatic Mountain. Lenny Laakso is doing a great job under very trying circumstances. I hope he can pull this off.

Franklin Road is a nightmare, especially in the winter. Trying to avoid the gaping pot holes while maneuvering the tight corners is like a near death experience. The two new condo complexes should have generated enough tax revenue to repave this road...not just fill the potholes with sand like they do every year...the poor man's version of fixing the road. I think whoever lives in these complexes should withhold their excise tax payments until something is done. Afterall, isn't that where this money is suppose to go...to fix the roads???

Sorry to say this but needs to be addressed; when Fitchburg does not celebrate Christmas something is really Wong.
Yup, Fitchburg needs another Mayor, one that is Christian.
This is an example of what results when you post while drunk. It's not pretty.

You're (not "your") funny!

Your first post was a rambling, pointless mess. This one shows (a.) your poor command of the language, and (b.) the fact that you don't know what "common knowledge" means.

Give up before you embarrass yourself further.

Yeah, Bovenzi had a couple of temps working at minimum wage spreading gravel with shovels so he can claim he kept his promise to improve the road after putting up those cheaply built condos; and he is laughing all the way to the bank because Fitchburg politicians are letting him get away it just like they did in Leominster.

yep always happens, as soon as they spend 2 mil paving they will destroy it. and like the jerk above this said, just stick it to the residents, they have no choice. and everyone that has put tons of effort and money in to their own septic sytems will now have to pay thousands and thousands to have the city put one in, and destroy the new road in the process
