Despite the controversy that swarmed in the weeks after Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School Superintendent James Culkeen placed Principal Nicholas DeSimone on a leave of absence, it is difficult to part ways, acting School Committee Chairwoman Diane Swenson said Friday.

In spite of the public outcry for Culkeen's removal which may be best, Desimone is "damaged goods" now. This incident will hang over the school like a bad storm. Desimone should resign and move on also. All these administrators are like Whack-a-moles anyway, either of them will simply pop-up someplace else
