You either lack reading comprehension or didn't bother to read what I actually wrote. I simply pointed out the question was never asked by the paper as to where he was. In fact I specifically pointed out he may have had a good reason he wasn't around, but why wasn't he asked? Same for the rest of the staff.Stephen, you expect the fire chief to be in town, available and able to respond 24/7/365?? Really? He's not entitled to a day off, dinner with his family, time to do yard work, pay bills, walk the dog, play with the kids, love his wife? Just what job in this country would be worth giving up all the things that make life worth living?
What do you do, Stephen, and does your employer expect you to handle everything that could possibly come up 24/7/365? Somehow, I think not. If the furnace malfunctions at 3 am do they call you? I suspect not. The fire chief cannot be in all places at all times. Sometimes all the little coincidences add up. Why don't you get off your high horse and go ride someone else's *?
You blindly support them, are you so myopic that you are not willing to poke your nose under the tent?
