Lot of good points Joe... but you just can't get blood from a stone.

And there is no guarantee that Ashburnham won't let the new Taj Mahal of elementary schools run into the ground like they did to Briggs Elementary. Sorry, but my taxes went up over $500 last year and I can barely afford that, let alone another $500+ if the new school is built. Until Ashburnham starts taking care of what they already have, then maybe I'll vote for a new school. Town Hall was run down (million dollar renovation and it didn't include gutters which caused leaks in the renovated building....who's brainstorm was that??), the Library is in poor shape, Town Barn is in shambles.....see a pattern here?

When you see 3.50+ gas and 3.20+ heating oil. You may wish to hold off on a school.
