I was born in this county. I can admit it isn't the best. I have family there so I dare not say much because retaliation is real. If people would listen, there are way too many people who have high school diplomas and less who are very wealthy. If one did calculate mathematically there iarr way too many people who live far above what should be their standard of living. Anyway, I am sorry.

I live out of state and still dread going home. However, I do love my family.

Well it seems some unlucky traveler has had a brush with the law. I wont bash anyone, but however I will state this. Elmer Fudd? Sounds like if your age matches the way you act, then you must be atleast nine years old and should have gotten a ticket for driving without a license also.

Let's face it. Turner County has been running a speed trap for a long time. They are the new Ludowici of Georgia. Their revenue from the highway has been so good that the county commissioners havent had a budget problem in a long time. I have seen the $700 to $900 fines on the internet. The "so Called Christians" in Turner County should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to go on. I am in support of those going above 80-85 on the interstate being fined. They ask for it. But I am not in favor of the law officer charging them when they have not been speeding. I have been in Turner County since 1888 and I think I have a right to say my peace.

1888? Well I've been here a while too & I learned a long time ago it's a lot cheaper for me to go the speed limit. You either leave early or show up late & apologize and go the speed limit, no ticket, no fine, no complaining. It's not like the speeding limit isn't posted. And most cars these days do have cruise control. They are just doing they're job. If it was how I made my living I'd be doing it too. You talk about the "so called Christians" letting this happen??? I'm sure it's the "so called Christians" breaking the law!

Im for ticketing anyone that speeds. I am not for ticketing those that are not speeding, which from the testimonies is going on too.

I've traveled all over this country and I have never witnessed the kind of double teaming these overweight, stereotypical Boss Hog type deputies do. While traveling with traffic at or about the limit +5 I topped a hill and saw a traffic stop just ahead. I tried to back off but was blocked in from moving over a lane, so I moved as far left as I could. Low and behold, there was another officer sitting right in front of the stopped car. He immediately ran me down and explained I was obligated to pull over. I explained myself and he admitted he saw I was slowing down, and the I had covered the white dashed lines, but then proceeded to write the ticket anyway...$600! Georgia pig should be in my barbeque sandwich not sitting its fat ass along the interstate assaulting tourists. I guess I'll fly next time. and for those of you who want to point out that I should just obey the law -.l..

I have always had a concern that Turner County law enforcement was running a speed trap. But actually, people go so fast and break the law they dont have to run a speed trap. It is like catching fish out of a barrell. Stupid yankees and Florida folks. Quit speeding. An former county commissioner told me if people would not go over 88 mph they would not be pulled over. With a speed limit of 75 mph, what's wrong with 80 mph? Why do you push the limit and put yourself in jeapardy??
