Seems when things don't go the way you want them in Hill country you start making it seem less worthy. Even if everyone has voted a dozen times then Witthuhn is still ahead.

What we have here is a sample size problem. As of right now only 291 votes. There are over 29,000 people in Stone county. With out taking either side, what percentage of the population would be a valid sample?

Taking into account the number of "names" participating in the blogs about this race I would say there are multiple votes in the poll on both sides.

Not turning away. Just seems all of Hill's supporters are trying to bash the other candidate. As did Richard Crites on Hwy-13.com . Seems to me that everytime something doesn't go Hill's direction they all start trying to downplay the importance of the situation. That's all I was saying. I don't know other candidate. All I know is Hill has been the sheriff for like 15 years I think. I have never even seen the man until last Saturday at the pig races. If, your going to be the sheriff in Stone County you have to get out and meet the people. Like the days of Richard Barnes. He was out alot talking to the people. And, in alot of cases he tried to help people instead of automatically putting them in jail. Once my grandfather was in a little trouble (nothing serious) and was out of a job. Richard Barnes made some phone calls and got him a job. Protect and serve is suppose to be what the office is about. Barnes really cared about the people of the county. I have been to the sheriff's department over 10 times to speak to Hill about some of my concerns. The man is never there. And, I talked to his Chief Deputy (I think his name was Paige) and, he didn't even seemed concerned about the problem. So, anyway I will get my off soapbox. Thanks for lisening. Maybe, you guys can tell the Sheriff to be in the office more and I will get a chance to meet him since from the sounds of it most of you work at the sheriff's office. We people in Stone County are smarting than you think.

Mr. Crites comments are on Hwy-13.com . Go to discussion boards, then to the political arena. Ckick on Rick Witthuhn or Richard Hill. Scroll through there and his screen name is Concerned Charlie. Later through the posts he signs his name to one and stated he was going to let everyone know who he is.

Well Mr. Crites your up to your old tricks, I see. If you have to manipulate the votes to swell your chest up and make yourself feel better, you are truly more childish than I had previously thought. You stated on another forum that the sheriff demands certain moral characteristics of his employees. I would ask you which one of them have shown on here and the other forum. And, why you are still employed there. My guess would be that you are currently representing him in three lawsuits. I would say that is why you are so loyal to his campaign. If, he gets re-elected that would put more food on your table.
