Well..I am Hal Mandelman co-founder of Main Street Hardy Online. I have a home and also business in Hardy and love the area. WHO ARE YOU?
Main Street could have aquired any domain name, our group worked and negotiated to purchase the domain. Main Street could have done the same. Additionally, We liked the name because we represent business of Hardy and Main Street,(the strip), is important to us as well. The organization Main Street Of Hardy, Inc. which is part of the historic preservation is a seperate organization that we will support.
You question our purpose..If you care about what has been said..Attend the meetings of the local city funded organizations !! You have the right to attend City Council and A & P and Main Street Of Hardy is currently taken applications to fill (5) empty spots on its board. They are truly in need of strong local help and we support that fully too !
So..you may enjoy calling names and putting down someone who you know nothing about..but I don't really worry..I know we are doing our part to help grow and promote Hardy..we hope others join in the effort too !!
A lot of people helping out a little can accomplish so much..but a few trying to do it all can never do as well..
We must have you confused with some other Hal Mandelman from Memphis TN. Hmmmm.

Don't trust anyone that plays in TOPIX. Those from Memphis, or any of us liars and cheaters. Next I might just post from your own area too! We like to make everyone scared and fearful of each other.

HERE IS ONE FOR YOU MAYOR, WHY NOT FINALLY GET THE OFFICIAL ANSWER OF THESE QUESTIONS THAT WERE ASKED OF THE MAYOR BY AREA WIDE NEWS ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO, BUT NEVER ANSWERED BY THE MAYOR. I have listed 8 of the original 9 that still are pertinent. She never responded before and even tied to blame C. Groves for missing the deadline, another lie of the Mayor. Why is simple questions so hard to get answered?

1. What is your vision for your city 5, 10 and 20 years in the future and what steps do you plan to take to work towards the vision as Mayor ?

2. How, and in what way do you plan to work with local business leaders in future decisions that affect your city (In Hardy, the Main Street Business District)?

3. What do you plan to do to ensure what locals want or need and how do you become aware of their needs and what avenues do will you take to address them?

4.. Hardy only- what plans do you have to improve the downtown historic district? How?

5. What is your grant writing history, given grants are a very important way to fund much needed projects. Who or what qualifies you to write grants?

6. In what ways, if any, do you plan to keep up with the technology age and insure city council meetings, board meetings and other business is readily available and online for those who opt to view the documents in that nature rather than relying on print media?

7. Do you have any plans to reduce the number of people in your community who live below poverty level? If so, what steps will you take to work toward this?

8. Currently, the division of residents in the “from here” and “not from here” categories have provided for doubt, separation, mistrust and fear. How will the city government address this type of working environment and promote a more harmonious area of trust and appreciation amongst residents regardless of where they live or have relocated to the area from?

We are all waiting for your answers….feel free to email them to the media so the community can once and for all see what your vision and thoughts are.

Everybody knows the answers to these burning issues lie within our community, not outside as in with the outsiders from Memphis. The answers to these and many other questions are on a need to know basis and you as an outside trouble maker, shit-stirrer and all around loser have no need to know. In two years when you run your buddies for Mayor, we will all know who they are and what they stand for, just like we know who YOU are and what YOU stand for. Once again, Hardy will speak, you will listen and then you will complain like the little b1tch you are because you will never get your way. Your name is crap here and nothing you can do will ever fix the damage you have done or erase the hate you have shown Hardy, her young, old, church goers, poor, working, etc.. Hardy will not forget.

Good grief, how queer and juvenile you are? This honest to god sounds like a lunch room fight in junior high school? Seriously, are you a little slow? I don't want to make fun of you if you really are slightly retarded.

When your candidate answered these, we could see your lips moving puppet master. Hardys real Mayor is too smart to get sucked into your game, you mean nothing to her, your questions have no basis and as someone who is "far too smart to own anything in this dead town", you have no right to ask. No answer for you turd boy. Post your heart out and in two years you can cry your eyes out. Again.

Seems sad to this poster that you could not get a response from the one in charge of your city! I would want to know what the Mayor feels about these questions. All it truly shows is a complete disrespect for the citizens who asked these very questions which were published in the YOUR local area newspaper after being asked of those running for the position. Your MAYOR refused to respond or give any answer..thus totally ignoring the locals.

That speaks pretty loud to anyone with a brain! So, yes, in two years I will cry my eyes out in happiness when we have a new caring forward thinking person in that PART TIME MAYOR position.

P.S. And whoever becomes the new Mayor, they too will be watched and held to the standard that a elected official is and should always be!!!!!

Those questions were not asked by the citizens but rather by you in an attempt to harass the mayor and as such they were ignored. A smart Mayor will ignore the out of town trouble makers and focus on the good people of Hardy just like Nina does. If any citizen of Hardy had a question for Nina, they would ask, she would answer and life would go on. It does everyday without you and will continue so for many years to come. You are insignificant and we keep you around for laughs. Now please visit, spend and shut the hell up. If you have any questions about that, ask the Mayor of Memphis as I sure he will tell you to shut up as well.

You are right Hardyman. But, before the Memphis Mayor tells the Memphians to shut up. He will have to finish his liquor store robbery.
