Well from the rumors that are going around the golf course, and the loft, it seems the commissioners are at it again. I guess two of them are trying to mini manage Terry Smith, and how he runs the golf course. It looks better sense he has been back, then it ever did with Wally. I will not mention any names, but one is a women, and the other's wife helped drive the place into ruin. Why don't they just worry about what is good for the golf course, and town, and not their personal egos>

Want to know who you're talking about? The loft is hiring new people. Are they in charge of that too?

Well I have lived in the area for going on twenty years, and it has stayed the same with mdid for at least the last ten years. Nothing more then a group of mindless egos hard at work making things worst for the people of Horseshoe Bend. They have a chance to start over again, and straighten things out, but smart money is that it will never happen.

Well it is getting better all the time. Now the commissioners are butting the state build boat launch, restrooms, and parking lot at Box Hound Marina. It was going in at Fisherman's Park, but sense some of the commissioners are friends, or have a son that work at Box Hound thats were it will now go. Oh I almost forgot, they going to supply the supplies for the restroom, pick the garbage, and generally take care of the place. Your tax dollars doing well for a private business. I don't want to mention names, but one is a female, the other has a wife that was a commissional, and the other I known as PS. Enjoy your local government.

I really think that my friend Old Pro has hit the nail on the head. I don't know why the good people of Horse Shoe don't try to stop these goings on. As for the second posting by Old Pro, I would guess that is just some wad that has nothing good to comment. Just goes to show what having your grandfather for your father produces.

I really don't believe anything is ever going to change in HSB. I am a golfer, but I can understand that the golf course isn't the only thing that should be considered. I think a boat ramp is a good idea. I fish, but I don't own a boat, but many people do, and a community boat ramp is a good idea. It is not a good idea if it is put on private property. It should be build at fisherman's park, with is owned by the town. I don't live in town, so I don't really have a vote, but I do spend money in HSB. We all know who the three commissioners are, and they hate the mayor, and will do anything to make him look bad, and to hell with the town. If you pay taxes in the HSB, by should go to meetings, and try to see that your tax dollars are going what is good for the town, not some guy that owns a private marina.

If you keep voting for the same Thing over and over never ever getting ahead or getting what other Community have...What would you call them????My first visit to HSB was in the late 80s it was a really great Town and Managed extraordinarily well.By the late 90 it started to slip and has not stop'ed yet.Seems to me that the Money trail was far more Interested in Selling anything and everything including the Town of HSB to the Highest bidders. So you go and Call it anyway you want.I drop in Via plane to Visit old Old Friends then Vanish Into the Blue,Ps I cant even land my plane on your so called Airport.I have to land In Batesvill and rent a Car to drive to HSB then worry about the Police that fallow me like a Lost Puppy and the People of HSB have to pay them???

I have been a resident of Horseshoe Bend for 19 years. I have not always agreed with the decisions made by city government but I don't believe all citizens agree with their own community's decisions. Look in your own backyard before judging others. If you do not have the courage to put your name on the comments they must not be true!! I pay less for water here than any place I have lived. I consider this place a paradise, its some of the people that need to change.
