The jersey shore has always been a ritual for college kids.Actually, if you go to some of the famous ivy schools you couldn't be too stupid. Maybe silly..where do they go from the mid west..florida.. The difference is that Florida got tougher, to allow the family element to come and enjoy without getting trampled out. In college, I loved the Jersey Shore because you could get away with a lot. However, in Florida the cops were all over us,nicer but still strict. Jersey, they acted like as...ho.s and in turn the kids became as...ho...s I guess that is the difference between the north and south.

People of all ages should be able to enjoy the Jersey Shore for good beach time and partying. However, that doesn’t mean come to Belmar and act like jackasses. I think it's ironic that people --- regardless from where they come from, who drink too much and/or play their music too loudly with no respect for neighbors, act like idiots, break the law and then blame the Belmar Police for enforcing ordinances to make Belmar a nice place for both visitors and residence. If you don’t like it, don’t come to Belmar!

Well, I do understand your point of view.I am no longer a college student. Now that I am all grown up and have a family I can actually empathize with you. We look for a place where we all have something that we like to do individually and as a group. Grandparents, teens, adults and a few youngsters None of us drink, so the ritual doesn't apply to us any longer. I love Jersey, and still have many relatives that live along the coast and in Essex and Hunterdon County. Taking yourself to the level of children is not the answer. As an adult, and especially as a law officer, you cannot lower yourself to bad behavior. Bad Manners is not the way to handle things. Being Strict does not have to be harsh in manner, speech, or action. Your last sentence speaks volumes,

I love thee New Jersey shore. I am planning to go to Point Pleasant and just wondered if that fellow who has thee cute lil brown and yellow house on thee boardwalk still plays Frank Sinatra on thee loudspeaker on his porch. He has been doing that for many years and each time I return to Point Pleasant, this lil ole Sinatra loving hausfrau looks forward to hearing Sinatra whilst on thee board passing his house.

Signore Frank, perhaps you feel that those kids who drink too much vino and make too much noise should be tasered? You seem like a very strict fellow to this lil ole hausfrau. That is what*
