Mishra Bikram

Contributed by: Jim Shires on 8/14/2006

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has arrested Bikram Mishra, dob 01-10-79, for the shooting and killing of Richard J. Ritter, dob 11-04-81. The shooting took place during the early morning of Friday, August 11th at 6934 W. Otero Place.

At this time it appears as though an argument between Mishra and Ritter took place just prior to the shooting. Ritter was shot once in the neck. His body was found on the porch of 6914 W. Otero Place at approximately 6:30 a.m. by sheriff's deputies.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the area on a call of a man bleeding and a 911 call of a shooting. Sheriff's investigators are still trying to determine what events took place at Mishra's residence leading up to the shooting.

Bikram is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on investigation of 1st Degree Murder.

**** I PERSONALLY AM FRIENDS WITH THE ALLEGED SUSPECT AND I WILL SAY THAT MYSELF AND ALL OUR FRIENDS ARE TOTALLY SHOCKED BY THIS INCIDENT. THERE HAS TO BE MORE TO THIS STORY THEN WHAT IS BEING SAID. POSSIBLY SOME OTHERS COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED THAT LEFT THE SCENE WHICH LEFT BIKRAM TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS SINCE HE LIVED NEXT DOOR TO WHERE THE BODY WAS FOUND. I AM ANXIOUS TO LEARN MORE AND PRAY THAT THIS NIGHTMARE WE ALL ARE EXPIERENCING WILL SOON BE OVER AND THE TRUTH WILL SURFACE.

Donell, while I'm not a close friend of Bik, I did hang with him on many occasions, and I am in full agreement with you on this subject, as are several good friends of mine who know him very well. He is not that kind of guy, he's just not. He's the kind of guy to organize a fundraiser for the daughter of another friend of ours that was born with a heart problem.

I googled across this place, btw, looking for any updates on what's happening, nobody has a clue what's going on...

I don't even know what to say. I was in shock. I wasn't close to him and I won't claim to be close to him, but what I did know, I honestly never expected this. Same as "Moo" I know about the fundraiser he put together and am having a hard time coming to terms with something like this.

Having known Bikram for half of his life, you people are completely niave. "Figure it out" nails it on the head by stating to take a better look at your friends. We always knew he would end up in jail, but thought it would be for drugs, not murder...at the same time, does this come as a suprise, NO. Whoever claims that this does still shock them, is probably still HIGH from the drugs that Bik sold them.
For those of you reading this and who are still Bikram's "friends", take a look in the mirror because it could have been you on the receiving end of that bullet.

I personally, am not niave. Just in shock. Not knowing someone all too well and then this happening, that is a shock. Maybe if I knew him more, possibly this wouldn't be a shock, but to me it is. And no I'm not high on drugs, because I don't do them. Period. People can be in shock whether they knew him or not. Its a matter of disbelief I guess more so. You your self just said you didn't expect him to go to jail for murder, something else yes, but this no. On some small miniscule scale, its a shock to just about anyone. I don't think anyone on here started to post anything with the intentions of starting an argument or making anyone mad, it was merely an inquiry as to what has happened since this story broke, which has still yet to be answered, only an article that can be googled was posted, no new information has been posted to this site or any other that I can find. There will always be two sides of every person, so if you're going to talk anyone down, don't talk anyone down who is just asking questions. Talk down the person in question.

Yeah, it is just too bad that the other person who could defend the other side of the story is dead.
My anger comes from knowing that there are people out there still fooled by Bikram and his lies and because of this Bikram has not ever been held accountable for his actions. My anger comes from watching a person with any and every opportunity available to them throw it away because of drugs and the desire to always try to get rich quick. My anger comes from being one of the people who spent many years supporting Bikram and spending endless effort trying to impede something like this happening only to receive the call that it did.
My claim of other's naiveness on this post is in direct reference to those who claim to have known him, or known him very well, yet didn't see this coming. Anyone who knew Bikram well, will attest to having a gun pulled on them by him, in his home countless times over something stupid and petty.....such as him not being able to chose the movie to watch that evening. And it was just a matter of time before he pulled that trigger. The naive people, are the ones who think he isn't capable of something like this, and are the next in line to receive the bullet. The naive people are the ones who ignore the warning signs and continue to support Bikram at all costs because he provides some direct benefit to them. If you do not fall into one of these categories, then I was not directing my comment to you. And if you would like to continue to NOT fall into the category of naive in this subject, I would take this incident as your warning sign in future dealings with Bikram, or the else the next time you post, you can make no such claim.
If you would like further information, you can contact Douglas County once he has been sentenced as it is public information. Any other information is just hearsay, although I am sure that information can be provided to you if you would like.

You have your feelings, as does everyone else. Everyone is entitled to their own, doesn't mean we all have to agree.

I am a friend of Bik's bro from HS. And from time to time associated with Bik. I have not seen the Mishra's in years. It was tough to hear that Bik was the suspect in this case, but not totally surprising. There is a good person inside of Bik but as others have mentioned he's been plagued with anger/substance problems. He isn't convicted yet so if you care for him hope that the justice system does it's part in sorting out the details.

I havnt seen Bik in about 2-3 years. When I found out about this I was shocked, but not surprised. If you hung out with him you knew that something like this was bound to happen. And I agree there is a good person inside of Bik but his drug problems hid that person from the rest of the world as well as himself.

What's your deal? I can understand being mad if you've been wronged by him, be mad at him; but that doesn't mean you have to be mad at the whole world.

Ive known Bik for a while. Through the drug abuse to the now as I've been told for the past few years, sobriety. I no longer live close to Bik, but have kept up a somewhat close friendship. Yes, he has/had anger problems, but he used to be a druggie. Now, since I'm not geographically around, I'm unsure whether or not there was a correlation between anger and drug abuse. Even if he does have a core of anger problems, this still comes as a surprise. His mother called and told me that his "friend" was an "intruder, and therefore shot." That is all I've been told that is from a reliable source. I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I am sorry for the victim, and I hope whatever the truth REALLY is, will come to light as I hope Bik is only guilty to defense and not "murder."

Well we can really see Gail's true color's shining through...can't we! If you don't want to support Bik through this, then keep your bitching to yourself! For those of us who know who Bik really is let's keep the support coming. We've all had our share of problems. I got the same call from Bik's Mom. I am taking that as a reliable source as well.

Hey like a sister..if you really were like a sister then you wouldn't be shocked at all. I can tell you for absolute sure that I was more like a sister to him for his entire life then you have been and I am not shocked. Can you please tell my why his last male room-mate moved out? Probably not, but I can. Can you tell me why I haven't talked to him in 2 years? I can! In both situations, he pulled a gun on the people that he claimed to love. Don't attack Gail because I am 100% positive that she went through more shit than you ever did with him..seeing as she dated him for over 13 years so back off bitch! Don't try to claim that she never knew him and if you had any guts at all you wouldn't have used "like a sister" as a cover. That only tells us who really knew Bik and that you've known him a short while and haven't experienced the years of abuse that we have. This is a place to put your feelings about the situation so if you want to call gail out atleat have the respect to say your name. And yes we've all had our share of problems, but it never included cold blooded murder. And the bitching will continue until you open your ignorant eyes!

"Figure it Out" I love ya! And for the record, there is a big difference between bitching and stating how I feel. The only thing I wrote here is my opinion and facts from the past. If you don't like it don't read it, and if you don't agree, well, that is your right, as I said before. But don't attack me for posting... I must have hit a nerve.
