I've known Jeremiah since I was roughly 6 or 7 years old (I'm 18 now). We've been friends on and off for a very long time. It hit me hard when I heard that someone I've known very well got into a horrible accident that involved the horrible death of three people.
Jeremiah and his parents, I don't think any human being on this silly little message board knows how much pain you all are going through, not even me. Jeremiah, I hope that your life doesn't completely fall to pieces and I pray to god that you may still have a chance of having a normal life again. I'll admit this has been a pretty horrible year given the events we've seen.
To the rest of you e-tards, especially you montanarose, I want you to do me a favor. Take your emotionless body, douse yourself in diesel fuel, and light a match. Do this world a favor and GTFO. The last thing Jeremiah needs is some half-wit, liberal, neanderthal running around saying he's some "teenage idiot". First of all, you live in Boulder. Massive "LULZ" to you, hippy scumwad. At 18, you are not an adult. You become a full-fledged adult at 21. You're old enough to do anything at that age. Like every other teenager on the planet earth, he wanted to have a good time and something as trivial as missing a stop sign ended the life of three people and totally shattered Jeremiah's soul. For the rest of his life, he has to wake up with the nightmares of this event. You will never feel such pain. Instead, you get to wake up every day so you can sit there and harass people like Jeremiah to make your e-penis just that much longer. I hope you have a slow and painful death, my confused little Boulder reject.

Reading through your posts you are clearly delusional and need your own professional help.
Obviously you do not have an open mind.
yes. Clearly delusional. Uh HUH. Well, little person....the DA is just as 'delusional' and I sincerely hope that the DA nails the little boy to the floorboards. That 'kid' killed three people. Now, run along and whine about something else, okay??

I gather that Nick is your son. I was wondering if he was someone involved in the incident or what? Is he famous? Are we supposed to know who Nick is or are you just some insecure nobody who doesn't consider herself any more importanat than being Nick" Mom? I thought it was a simple question. Sorry I asked.

I think you may be confused, you ARE legally an adult at 18, you can vote, die for your country, buy lottery tickets, pay the price as an adult, etc., etc. you can't legally drink until you are 21.

Actually, you are LEGALLY an adult if a DA can convince a court to so designate you. Teens have been tried as adults as early as 14.

I was referring to NORMAL situations, not someone being underage and commiting a crime.

I believe there was a case where a 13yr old was tried as an adult for murder (in the south somewhere).

Can the parents of the four children pay for the installation of the traffic signal instead of Arvada taxpayers?

What about Jeremiah's mother? Did she know what her son was doing or where he was?

Fact: Illegal number of kids in car. Fact: At least one of the parents knew this. Fact: The car had to cross four lanes of traffic in order to make contact with truck at a highly visible intersection. Fact: The driver was responsible for his actions. Fact: Due to the drivers "mature" decision making ablility three teens are dead. Own it.

I would have to say that I disagree with you. I've driven that intersection plenty of times. The key is actually stopping at those stop signs and paying attention. I've never had any problems seeing in either direction when turning onto Ward from there.
I agree with you completely; the intersection is fine if you're not trying to do anything stupid like run the sign (it could just as easily been a light he ran--let's not forget that). If traffic's heavy, you can easily buzz over to 64th, as I expect many people do.

The only thing a traffic light will likely accomplish is to punish the rest of us with additional congestion because of its proximity to the light at 64th. There are reasons why CDOT hasn't put it on a priority list. We should let the traffic engineers do their jobs instead of micromanaging something that most of us know very little about.

Let's use this terrible crash as an object lesson, for young and older drivers alike, for being careful and paying attention. What that kid did--violating provisional driving laws, running the stop sign--was irresponsible, and 3 of his friends died for that irresponsibility. Let's not compound things over the long term by demanding that the government babysit us all yet again because a few people think we're incapable of policing ourselves.

And how do you know this? Aside from that, I'm not sure what you'd would expect he police to do about an illegal. The only ones that have the authority to detain and deport illegals is immigration. The feds haven't given cops that authority.
Don't even get me started on the illegal issue. But, in this particular case, why does this matter? This would have been the truck's regular delivery schedule no matter who was driving. There's no way the guy could have been speeding since he'd just been at the grocery store half a block away. The kid ran the stop sign. His friends would be alive today if he either hadn't done that. Sad as the situation is, the kid is at fault and we need to keep responsibility where it belongs.

For all u idiots on here jeremiah is an amazing person. He had no intent to get into an accident that night. And for the person talking about his mom, get a clue. Jeremiah has great parents that have been there for him. He suffers everyday with the thought of killing 3 people. Yes he ran a stop sign but so can everylne else. If anyone has been down to that intersection u can see that there is a hill under a bridge where u cannot see cars coming. Thanks.
