I am a former resident or Carlsbad and dont know GLPT. Are they an oilfield hauler? Maybe water or oil? I worked as a driver for a couple of oil field haulers for about ten years and ... I made a living. About $16 an hour but it might of went up. Lots of hours and good co-workers! Also depends on where you work though, some shady companies and workers. Also, dont let any one fool ya. Carlsbad has its problems but its not as bad as some people let on.

It is hauling Petroleum I believe. Not quiet sure as it is my boyfriend that is applying for the job. He is currently an over the road driver and would like to be home more and this job sounds almost to good to be true and was just wanting to see if I could find someone who drives for them on here by chance. Thanks

it is booming in carlsbad, hobbs, artesia, because there are FEW unions (except for government workers)

i hope people from high unemployment states coming here realize that unions killed their jobe and do not bring the lazy union member mentality

Riverside Transportation was recently acquired by Select Energy Services and is currently offering $23/hr for days and $24/hr night. They offer Medical, Dental and Vision after 60 days. 401k also. There is no one in town who even comes close. Strictly logbook and new Petes also.

They pay a percentage of each load, not by the hour! The only two companies that pay by the hour hauling crude oil in this area are OXY and PERMIAN! They usually start thier drivers at $18.00 per hour with no crude hauling experience!

Dont get caught by DOT! You are only allowed to work 70 hrs per week then you MUST take a 34 hour break before coming back to work!
