Ooooppps....and here I thought we had a street fight happening...my mistake (though a cowboy cop type is more likely to piss them off than deter anything at all).

OOOPS you are nuts! At least they have officers trying to clean that place up. I grew up there and it has gotten bad since then. The parents once again is to blame and those kids could get involved in other activities instead of living off welfare like their parents. School Athletics is one, along with 4-H and FFA. OOOPS guess Eddiethe Jerk doesn't know what that is. DUH!!!!

Good job to the officers trying to do their jobs!

The only thing gang members are good for is target practice. You are never going to hear about gang members going out and trying to make the community they live in better by feeding the homeless, getting a job/ education to better their life, collecting toys for the less fortunate kids for Christmas? No all gang members do is create problems, they hurt hard working families, as well as thier own families. The best thing for gang members is a bullet in the head.

Why don't we just send in the marines and rangers into gang areas to see how those punks like real fire power. While we're at it we might as well throw Eddie the Jerk in with the rest of the scum.

Artesia is a very dinky town. How there could be a gang problem amazes me because it is so small that any gang activity would be easily witnessed (I think).

But, I must agree that there is very little do do there, unless you're a guy! The chicks there are so bored that getting some is very, very easy and the chicks are bored as Hell too!

It's called the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. Although the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 might make for an interesting legal battle against that.
Besides, you only want to send in the military as a last resort, unless you're willing to accept possible civilian non-combatant injuries and damage to property. Only call the military in if your intent is to have them kill people and/or break things.

I disagree...they're already started into the jail and prison life. They're discovering how "easy" it is to victimize their fellow human being and liking the sense of power and control that they feel. They're not being forced into anything if they made the decisions themselves.
Entertainment? How about education, how about jobs and opportunity? What? Give us more rap with dancing naked females or we'll rob your stores?

Bet ya the kid that was arrested is naming names now. The one where he killed his own buddy. the one where the bianca sighting and the gf were sticking up for. hahahah. Bianca and GF how does it feel to know your on a list now as a known gangbanger and associate. As the saying goes, lesser sentence they will turn there own mother in. GOOD JOB Artesia. Make it safe and I'll go back home where I was born and raised.

Exactly Igor, Gangs and gang wannabes love that way of life, period. No feeling sorry from me for all the pain they cause to hardworking innocent people.

Your right, I grew up there too. Born and raised and the place is getting bad. A good whipping is what them kids need. There are things for kids to do. And if not, create stuff that the community can get involved in. I'm all for them getting rid of the gangbangers and the parents who allow it. But in reality, I am 42 and when I was a kid there were gangs there. but hush hush doing illegle things. It was ignored. Now it's gotten worse. My brother and ex was attacked by gangbangers there at the park. Put them in hospital. And nothing was really done. They tried to kill them.

Hey, Artesia has one of the largest training academy for all law enforcement. I say let the do there training on the streets of Artesia. Since there trained to fight crime gangbangers should be high on the list. After all some gangbangers have mulimillion dollar businesses and as all of them start like the pups they have in Artesia. I know a few who started out as gangbanger pups and grew big. An unfortunatly, gangs do recruit young, smart, kids. I know, they tried to recruit one of my kids who was awesome in computers. I took care of that problem quick and now she's a hard working mother of 3 with a good education and the smarts to know what to look out for in her kids.

good point however if there where more jobs in Roswell i don't think there would be as many gangs either and some gang members arnt bad just ticked that they cant find a job so they are going to do what they have to do to get by . not saying its right but not having a job is not helping.
that's my piece

Daily Horoscope for December 14

Pisces

Someone is in a no nonsense mood. This makes them rather formidable company because they aren't mucking about and they don't want to waste their time. Instead, they're very single-minded about getting what they want and they won't care who gets trampled on in the process. Be careful if this person sees you as a stepping stone towards getting what they want because they could be quite ruthless in the way they treat you.
