It also states where else the money comes from for it is just not hard working people. It comes from corporates and estates as well. As for the EBT card thing, I was not disputing anything.
The comments about the clerk telling me about the ebt card the the one telling you to Shut The F Up were actually from and not Walter. Walter lives in the same house as me and when I commented I did not realize he had commented before me and I did not change the name back. So it was me and not Walter. It doesn't matter to me if only a portion comes from our paychecks, if it is one dime that is too much. And, I just got back from the salon getting my nails done and had the pleasure of listening to two very large girls complaining that ones ebt card did not work earlier and she was pissed? YES they were both getting manicures and pedicures! WTF? TRUE STORY!

There are now 70% more humans within our sovereign borders on food stamps then when the Kenyan took office. Not necessarily Americans, mind you, but humans. Not only that, but there is no longer a stigma attached to it. Really. G'ahead. Ask them. They're proud to admit it! Just don't bother knocking on their door till about Noon. They don't roll out'ta bed till about then. They were up late late last night watching cable. Funny, they can afford that, Huh?

Yeah, I would be asking the same questions as I have wondered that crap before such as the ones who gets their kids all brand names like Nike and so forth. I guess they don't look at that and ask where they got it from which they should be doing.

No, it was clearly an ebt card and I doubt the ederly drunk at brewers was using a child support card! LOL
ebt cards also have child support payments on them. Yes you can have your child support payment withdrawn from that card but not the food stamps.

Just some one inferiated who started this blog!!! I can say that probably he/she or some relative of there's got caught abusing the welfare system. EBT has choices when it is swiped at time of purchase . Cash or food!!!!!EBT - Electronic Benefit Transfer! Snap--Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program - TANF- Temporary Assistance For Needy Get your facts straight!!!!! If you are driving a Toyota, oh! Well, do not hate on those who have nicer vehicles!!! Whether they use EBT or not, child support also is applied to EBT, and welfare, but those individuals are also trying to improve their Single life without a husband or wife, raising kids on their own or going to College to better themselves, there are alot if BABY MAKERS in this town who have many children, leaving the women by themselves to support! It also applies to single father's as well!!!!!!!!! To use the word TROLL, goes to show this individual Is or might be angry at some one receiving benefits, or just some one who has not learned the English vocabulary!!! LoL!!! Who says Troll anyway? And is upset their husband is making child support payments and how they use them, most likely CHILD SUPPORT!!!!, stop being so angry, and stop posting immature information about purchasing liquor, type of vehicle , etc., and for saying negative comments about Albertson!s and their employees! too bad your spouse has to pay CHILD SUPPORT, get over it!!!!!

I am who started this a year ago. I never said anything about an EBT card or child support. I stated I saw an ad in the sales papers stating an Easter basket could be purchased with food stamps and opened it for discussion. This is a hot topic and this is a forum. My family has oil money and does not receive any assistance.

Quite a few defensive arguments have been posted on this topix. One asks what's wrong with providing a child with a Happy Easter? To answer: nothing. But it doesn't take a purchase of an off-the-self Easter basket to make a child happy. I might add that Easter is a religious holiday and really doesn't have anything at all to do with candy and baskets either. But, be that as it may, a wise person with a small income would be better spending their limited money on eggs. After hard boiling them, they could be colored with thrift store dye and/or coloring pens. Hide the eggs and then have the kids hunt for them in the early morning while it is still cool outside. Fun and food all in one.

The kindest thing you can do for yourself and your children is to work towards not receiving welfare assistance. You free your children from a welfare mindset to one that has more freedom in life to live more comfortable, without a social stigma, and more opportunites for self satisfaction.

And for the rest of you, be grateful you don't have to live like that. Sure there's welfare cheats by the basketfull but, don't let it get under your skin. Maybe some of them have a cadillac but you have integrity.

Happy Easter.

it gets me how people are quick to complain about what people buy with foodstamps ... no one dictates what you buy your family to eat so you have no right to dictate what they buy ... and trying to eat the total healthy way won't work ....cause the so called health foods are alot more expensive so you spend all ur stamps on healthy food and only have enough food for like 2 weeks what is ur family supposed to eat for the rest of the month...i worked from age 15 to 32 in restaurant management i was born with cerebral palsy and in 08 it got to the point i couldn't work no more then last year after a asthma attack my throat closed up and i had to get a trach I've had 8 surgeries in the past yr ....my husband had to stop working to help me and help with our 3 kids so we live off my disability which is less that 900 a month so after rent of 400 there's not much left so we rely on our foodstamp to eat and yes i get snacks for my family and on Easter and Halloween i get candy and yes some months i have been forced to have to sell some to make up the difference in a bill like power to keep my lights on or my water on ...my disability only goes so far and any side money my husband can make he does and every dollar goes to bills and gas so it really makes me mad when people want to complain about what other people do with they foodstamp just cause they pay taxes sure there are people out there doing stupid stuff but there are so many more out there like me and barely making it ...so quit judging cause the tables could be turned so quickly to where you have to rely on foodstamp to feed your family and if you got a sweet tooth or happen to wait some soda or its a holiday and you want to get ur kids some candy are you gonna think about the judgmental comment you made about someone else no yougonna do what you want to do with your foodstamp regardless what anyone says or thinks cause its your family and your choice and no one has a right to take that choice away from you .....

You seem to presume that everyone who is not on food stamps has an unlimited budget for purchasing whatever they want. News flash: most people do not. However some of us know how to get the best value for our very limited dollars and we have enough self restraint to not buy junk food and unnecessary trinkets.

And if you're not looking for judgement, I suggest staying away from Topix.

I prefer to have my tax dollars spent by someone buying their kid an Easter basket rather than selling the buying power of that EBT at half the value for cash so they can go get their nails or feet done, get the latest iPhone, or buy drugs.

You are wrong, I have seen it happen several times at Albertsons and Walmart. My husband also has seen a man more than once being driven to Brewers by transit and he buys liquor with an EBT card.
It makes me sad to see so many hateful comments, you can not buy any tobacco or alcohol on ebt.no where !!!!ebt has its own codes when being rung up if it doesn't have a food code you have to buy it . I'm on ebt sense my husband of 20 yrs was diagnosed with kidney failure due to uncontrollable diabetes and he is 140 lbs not over weight .I have 3 daughters at home.I have to stay with him 24/7 he has been in the hospital 7 times in 6 months. I wish I could work but I can't afford a stay home nurse and until disability starts I can't get help for it.my husband ran a mechanics shop for 18 yrs we were successful had everything. But we depleted all savings in the last 7 yrs to nothing in the bank we drive every day 3 hour trip for dialysis .So when u down people for food stamps think about my story cause it can happen to you in a blink of a eye.I never thought I would ever have to live this way, but I think God that all people don't think like you.Ive lost my home of 20 yrs my cars, my savings, I can't help my grandchildren or my oldest ddaughter If for one minute you think I want to live this way u are so sadly wrong! If it wasn't for ebt and Medicaid my children wouldn't eat or have medical. And it's not by choice it's because of circumstances.again I pray God keeps you and your families healthy cause you are one problem away from my shoes.
