Very sad to hear of Mr. Bird's death. He tried to do what was right for the Village of Capitan. Too bad the "good old boy" network outweights that. He should have been at work here all this time. For those of us who care about the community Mr Bird did a lot to clean it up. Unfortunalely in Lincoln County decent honest citizens are either destroyed or run off. I wonder what impact the Village of Capitan and the powers that be had on Mr. Bird's health.

Not just Bird's health, what is the negative impact on the next generation of kids that can openly buy drugs without in thought of consequences. What about the health of those who have been burglarized or had their family compromised by drugs without any hope of relief, talk about stress. At lease Lamoyne can sleep well at night knowing no one in his family is in any danger of arrest. Sleep well Lamoyne, the blind still lead the blind in Capitan.

We have been given a preliminary account but it's not official and thus we couldn't print it. As soon as we get the report, we'll let you know. Good question, though.

Robert was one of a kind, loved the world, and most of all people. He cared and showed it by many of his tasks. The "best" of his followers, stay the same today. Thank you all! Randy Haskins you must go forward, don't stop being the man you are. Steve Sederwall never, never quit, you fellows... we all look up to you. Stay strong like you are! Bird will be flying by to check on all of us.He will make sure we stand tall.God bless you all.We care!

What a sick mind must be behind this post. Do you think you can make Little Red Dye Riding Hood look like a cop when you badmouth a good man?

Your maneuver is too plain and obvious. If I thought you were able to feel something like that I would say shame on you but shame requires the ability to self-reflect - hard to believe a person like you knows what that is.

Does it feel good to hurt Bird's family and friends?

Steve, if you really want to know the truth about Chief Bird ask Lucy. She's usually at her place everyday and her restaurant was in Carlsbad for years. She knows all.

I don't know anybody who would actually ask Lucy anything. She is a liar herself. Plain and simple.

How dare you speak about that sweet little woman that way. She's the nicest person in town.

How come Capitan Historian just like Chillin wants us to ask somebody else to find out about our friends that we have known for years?

I found Lucy to be a bit uppity when I went in her place. I wanted to say to her, listen lady, "I am patronizing your business, roll your eyes back to the front of your head and bring me my damn chimi". I got payback though. In the form of getting some real use out of the men's restroom.

I never saw you posting here and it's a bit odd you say you dated him, had bonds with him over all those years and now 8 months after his death you show up and ask what happened to him.

I repeat - when you are such a good friend - ask his family. No hard feelings - it just sounds a bit weird....

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Aquarius

This is another day when financial matters cause trouble, as Mars reverses in your seventh house. What started off as a minor niggle with a partner or an opponent yesterday could now escalate into a full-blown row, but at least this will give you the chance to get certain things out into the open. Legal issues from the past may become ugly. If you're pointing the finger of blame at someone, don't get so heated that you accuse them of everything under the sun.
