I have to agree there are some area's of the ECSO that needs help, they need alot of help in the detective area and they don't solve that many dangerous crimes. However I don't think that putting in Mr. Bird will be the answer, and yes I can see him hire his son, won't that be great, give him a new place to play his games. I think we need a well qualified man or women who cares about the ESO to come in and do a good job, we may need an outside source for that!

is he serious, does he really think he has a chance against mendoza? i agree a change needs to be made in the SO, but getting rid of waller is the best thing i can think of.
hey bird, if you really want to look into every aspect of sasha's murder, you may want to ask why when I arrived on scene to help out before CFD got there YOUR SON was standing at his patrol car LAUGHING when not one of the officers was in the field with her.

SYK--you are right about the anti-nepotism rule for Eddy County. The fact is, however, the Sheriff is not an employee of Eddy County, therefore the anti-nepotism rule does not apply to his family members. Obviously the position Bird referred to as his chief and being stationed in the Artesia office would be his son. Great. Or not.

What a joke. Sheriff Robert Bird??? This man, who calls himself a law enforcement officer, is nothing more than a moran. He could not find his way out of a paper sack, much less solve a murder. I know him personnally, and he is not fit to hold the position of Sheriff.
