I've never understood the "need" for a North Branch Library. Why not have just one library and devote energies and monies to making THAT better?
RB has a pop of about 65,000 and communities 2-3x that size only have 1 library.
Seem just like another waste of taxpayer money [for salaries, upkeep, etc.].

Many cities don't "put their money where their mouth is." By providing a this neighborhood branch, thousands of North Redondo children will not need to travel miles to the nearest library. The world is a very competitive place and educational resources are not the places to cut back. Kudos to Redondo for providing its citizens this valuable resource which will be treasured for decades to come!

"thousands of North Redondo children" ?? I think that's a bit of an exaggeration.
The way the city's finance's are going this north library before long will cut its hours, reduce staff, reduce buying books/periodicals, etc. I've seen this a million times. Live in the SB long enough and you will under stand the games, politics and self dealing that goes on here.
