What? An article about the City of Pico Rivera and no comment attributed to Bulky, Blinky or whatever his name is. How did CNN do it?
the City can survive without the big white guy after all. Way to go CNN.

"It looks like any other suburb, but when you look closely, the names they are (Spanish names)," said Mark Nelson, vice president and senior executive producer for CNN Productions. "It's just a wonderful place and people take a lot of pride in it. The people there
refer to it as the `Latino Mayberry."'

what a freakin' moron. appearantly this genius never heard of maria hicks. i didnt realize mayberry was covered with graffitti and had illegal immigrants selling flowers on street corners and oranges on freeway off ramps.

another cnn blunder !

didn't realize a freeway runs through Pico Rivera and that Whittier was free from crime and Graffitti. Before making such asinine comments you might want to check your facts better!

They also missed the one where a current city council person has yet to pay the city the money owed to clean up the graffitti vadalism caused by his son. When will that be paid?

These comments remind me of the people complaining about the President receiving a Nobel prize. CNN is praising our community and we complain about it. Why can't we handle praise. Look, I'm not saying Pico Rivera is the greatest town in the world. But it's not chopped liver, either. Of course, as A Jewish person, I really shouldn't use that metaphor since that's a popular food in our culture--at least in large cities in North America, especially New York.

Pico Rivera does have all the hispanice cultures. Along with those cultures are your street vendors and people selling flowers on the corners. What are you conmplainging about? That is your culture.
Is there a better part to PR? Below the Blvd sounds more like a problem Whittier has. I haven't seen anything any better above the Blvd in PR.

I find Mary Gallardo's comments hilarious. Why do I get the feeling that she is related to the thugs and low lifes that have scared the 60 year old anonymous women into moving (previous paragraph)? law-abiding people that go for walks do not normally come in contact with law enforcement. Its the loser gangsters and druggies that are out for leisurely walks at 3:00 AM that are often "harassed" by deputies. I for one encourge that type of harassement!

heres the answer to your praise question........praise is something that is deserved. not given.

the reason that people all over the world are outraged about the nobel prize is because obama did NOTHING TO DESERVE A NOBEL PRIZE.

now lets get back to the suject. pico rivera and not obama. CNN makes pico out to be a grand place. its not. is a crime ridden shathole. read the whole article. especially where the woman is afraid to walk outside alone. that doesnt sound like mayberry. theres a reason shes afraid. it might be CRIME ! the national crime index is 100.( the lower the better ) pico is 137.

Jennifer Rodriguez can kiss my brown butt. It's that stupid mentality that creates the hatred and anger we're experiencing every day. Unfortunately I have to agree with Mary Galardo on the issue of harassment, but I believe it's the individual deputy and not the Sheriff's Dept. as a whole. BTW, it's ok to chin check an off-duty deputy if some of your friends who are members of law enforcement in other jurisdictions and they are willing to tell the truth as to who started what. This is not the messed up city so many morons make it out to be. I glad I came back.

There goes that fruit Raul Murga again. I don't understand how a low life, breast feeding middle aged loser moron like him keeps writing this craap. The loser is a deadbeat dad who's own children do not even acknowledge his existence. His daughter never even told him she was marrying just so her sperm donor dad would not attend. She doesn't even want a cent of the thousands he owes in back child support because she knows he'd probably rip it off his mom Paula. What a total scum.
How can you sleep at night when you sling mud at others who have accomplished something in life while you did even support your OWN children. You are lower than a cockroach! At least your son turned out better than you because he didn't have a deadbeat as a role model growing up. Lucky kid. Imagine the influence of a loser dad, a drug addict, brain dead wannabe gang banger uncle and another uncle in prison for life for murder. Oh yeah, this kid was lucky getting away from his dad. And what about those grandparents. Obviously grandma Paula is a real jewel. She should have had her tubes tied at BIRTH!!! That woman raised a house full of scum hoodlums who have all accomplished jack in life. Raul's son doesn't even use his fathers name.
Raulie, as your mommy tucks you in tonight dream about all the successful people in life that you're not qualify to even lick their azs....although I bet you would like to you sick freak. I'm sure you like the taste of Bulky's since he has made you eat mountains of it! Is it true you like the peanut variety the best or perhaps the chili cheese load?
