Wow, that guy is lucky to be alive. Slow down for the turns dude !

The guys who haul containers are the bottom of the trucking ladder and are often the least skilled drivers. I observe them at work everyday, and many can barely back into our loading dock, let alone make good driving decisions.

Hard way to learn about driving safety, but hopefully a lesson learned before he kills himself and others.

Holy guacamole. The wheels came off the big rig! The driver's lucky he even survived that horrible crash.

I live east of where the accident occured, across the LA River, about a mile away.I heard a loud bang, then a scraping sound which lasted for a while. That must have been the rig and container sliding along the transition road before it went over and fell onto the onramp below. A graphic lesson in kinetic energy. Hmm, let's see. Basic truck driving skills. 80,000 pounds rolling along, best to make some brake applications and reduce speed BEFORE entering the transition road. If not, well, here is the result. That 80,000 pounds wants to keep going in a straight line, and it will if you don't do something to control it.
