IDK but it is a ripoff. I have one lamp and one security light and it's $30 a month! With the heat set on 55 it gets up to about $130. That is about average of the house I live in. Outrageous!

It is because they are the middle people for KU electric we just pay them instead of KU its a ripp off and i think KU should take it all over so we dont have to pay r.e.c.c. these high dollar electric bills.

Gosh...I know their bills are through the ROOF...even with help from KCEOC they are still so high. I usually still paying in July for March's High Bill. It don't do any good to complain about it to them or see if they can maybe check your meter. I once was told by a receptionist, "Well if you can't pay your bill, then you will have to do without". Also don't let anyone tell you that if you have kids they won't cut it off in the Winter because i know for a fact they will, even if it's only $25.00.

I have KU and since they were bought out by several years back by a British company and now some other country our bill increased 27% in last month. Why can't we keep what we HAVE? Lots of jobs were lost also during the buy out. If you call the tool free # when the electric goes out they ask if you are a gas or electric customer??? Same with the water here in Knox Co. middle man???

You think it's high right now? Wait till you're under Obama and crew's Carbon taxes. The prices will be at least 10 times as high.

Why do I get the peanut for logically thinking that by Obama and his administration "bankrupting the coal industry" will not raise our electric prices? The Tennessee Vally Authority gets all it's electric from coal. Kentucky gets most of it's electric from coal. Coal is Kentucky's biggest industry. This will kill millions of american jobs.

If you all would take the time to research coal oil. you would find out alot. They will be alot more use for coal than they are now.

That is not my understanding. My understanding is the President elect Obama wants to raise the standards of emmissions so high that the coal industry will be bankrupted because it will be so expensive to put money into the coal companies that make them cleaner.

Your understanding is correct. Anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves.

Oh and yes that is freaking cold. I keep my house about 73. I am cold natured so when I do live there, I am in for a rude awakening when it comes to the electric bill. I need to get me a fireplace or something.
