TEA investigating former Overton ISD superintendent's suspected misconduct

How is it in this day and age that people still think "decent people" can't give into temptation?

No one said he was guilty of anything, just wondering and interested.

well he pled guilty and got 5 years probation and thats the last thing that has happened that i know of

Mark Stretcher was a previous superintendent at Windthorst ISD, and is believed to have stolen cash and checks that were given to him or his wife. They were donations from citizens that were to be added to a scholarhsip fund for a former student of Windthorst ISD who passed away in 1994. The checks were destroyed, and no one knows exactly how much money was taken. PLEASE do not trust this man! Anyone can put on a show when they're a criminal, and it's obvious that he is when he pleaded guilty to his current charges!!! I'm sorry to see that he has been distrustful and dishonest to more people in other communities!

At least Dr. Stretcher wasn't molesting his students or watching child porn from his school computer, like Harold Scallon, Brian Basse and the rest of them in Rusk Texas.
Half the RUSK ISD school teachers resigned in January or the rest are on there way. Just the holdouts and locals who protected the likes of Scallon are still working there.
Then they want to pretend they never worked with a child pornographer like Harold Scallon, even though he worked for Rusk ISD for 30 years.

what dr stretcher did to any and all schools that he took funds and tax payer money from was down right simple theft on all levels , the trust that he took from the people that was given to him has made this a strong wake up call; always check an double check on whom the school put in charge.
