My 16yo son was diagnosed with Swine Flu today. The high fever caused him to have a seizure while at the doctors office. Now the whole family is on Tamiflu.

I had the H1N1 shot and it most likely had some mercury in it....and you know I'm feeling just fine.

Perhaps because there's a lot more Tamiflu (that was ineffective on last year's flu) that needs to be sold. And why would a mother-to-be take a vaccine that the manufacturers say has no evidence of safety in pregnant women?

The vaccines are delayed because the virus used to make it is grown in eggs and it is growing much slower than experts predicted. The manufacturers have no control over this. Also h1n1 is the only flu currently going around and it can be tested for. The seasonal flu has not even begun to strike here yet. Hopefully if something else is suspected as the cause of a fever, other tests would be run as well. There is nothing "overblown" about children dying from the flu at an historic rate.
