Tell me specifically what part of that was a lie? We can walk through it line by line and then let anyone else make up their own mind.

My father always told me to be loyal to who signs my checks because when grandpappy went through the depression the ink ran dry for the disloyal guy.
But, "Hmmm" don't you think this is precisely one of the points others have been trying to make in one way or another? People are petrified to speak up and speak out because this is the second depression we are in and people need to keep the jobs they have...and the ones who are not working for the district are scared of the retaliation school districts have become famous for. I don't think that is the way any of us wants to live our lives. It is not fair, ethical or productive and it is also wrong. People who know of wrongdoing and say and do nothing about it are worse than those committing abuses. People who want to take a stand are afraid to be the first (and only) ones standing up and saying something. Good people are scared to take a stand for fear of viscous personal attacks and threats. Loyalty and commitment is well and good. But who and to what is the loyalty and commitment being given and at what cost, my friend? Just some things to ponder.

Alright I'm going to throw some fuel on the fire.
Some months ago there was an employee at the central office that was fired for embezzeling. She was stealing money and got caught. How much did she steal? I don't know but I know it's in the thousands.
Probably no one knows the amount of money she stole or for how long she stole it. Everybody knows about it but everyone was petrified to utter a word about it. Not even a whisper.
To my knowledge there was never an arrest made or even a police report filled out. Why is that?
They never did actually catch her in the act, they told her she was caught on camera, and she confessed. She was not caught on camera!
Everything I just wrote is true and can be verified by anyone with half an ounce of investigative ability.
What I do not understand is why there was never anything done about this. Or why I had to be so paranoid about talking about it. She broke the law for goodness sake, it's simple. I do have my guesses though.
Firstly this was happening in the central office, right under the very noses of those who are supposed to have the oversight. Who's job was it to make sure that the deposits were not being stolen? I can see how that might embarress the administration. But just because I left my keys in my running car does not mean I don't report it stolen, embarressed by my stupidity or not.
Secondly,(and I believe this is the real reason),do you remember the camera they said she was caught on? That camera was pointed down the stairwell of the Bridges program. They must of thought some delinquet bridges kid was stealing the money. Wasn't true of course. But what it did record was the good Dr's boyfriend,(who ran Bridges), coming up and down those stairs to see her.
Now this I can not prove happened. The camera has since been repositioned and any evidence is tossed. But this is not some rumor or fabrication. The people that are in charge at Fox abuse the power they have.
Eventually someone who has nothing to lose, maybe a reporter, will fair these things out.
I welcome any of the superintendents to challenge this story, or to correct any part of it. They can even sign their name.
You forget where the administrative office is located, Arnold. This is a town where as long as you are with the in crowd, you can be married and have as many affairs as you like and parade your conquests around at public events without fear of reprisal, even the aggrieved spouse is expected to turn the other cheek.
The problem with any investigation by Arnold Police is that at the school, it would be conducted by the resource officer. This is the same officer that can't seem to grasp that he should do something about students who smoke cigarettes on the corner, pot out behind the Walgreen's dumpster and get in cars off campus heading away from it. Some actually walk in groups down Tenbrook Rd. and no one bothers to say a word to them.
This is the same town that councilmen publicly, blatantly break the law and then brag about it in the local paper. Why would you think embezzlement would be any different? Only nice things happen in Arnold and if that isn't true, they will just ignore the facts.

Well, I am not sure why some of the nonsense is continuing but I have seen when doing various searches that the news makes fun of this district ever since that fiasco with the firing of a previous superintendent and now with some violations of various rules and policy/law, it is even worse. Just saying.

I will just say that I know for a fact that the BOE and administrators make decisions on what is in the best interest of the students. The District is in the best shape it has ever been. I also know that the reputation of the District is nothing but positive when you speak to others across the state. Most of the posters on here are just negative folks who just want to spit their venom.

Are you serious, "Come on Already"?

MAP Scores: Failing at least the last 2 years or so in some critical areas.

ADA, IDEA, NCLB, 504: Fail- violations galore!

Sunshine Law: Fail!

Gifted, Spec Ed and Alternative Ed: Failing big time.

PTO: Failing big time

Do a Google Search. There have been some media making fun of your district ever since the Bourisaw fiasco.

To the others here: Remember the media is your friend. Use it!

There are people interested in seeing the public education systems overhauled in this country. Waiting for Superman and Michelle Rhee are only the beginning. No longer will the public schools be so arrogant and have such a shameless disregard for law, ethics, policies, and the students and community they are here to serve.

Hey, "Come on Already", have you done a Lexus Nexus search or a Pacer search to check out some public records on your own district? Can't really continue to insist greatness after seeing some of that mess! Are you seriously waiting for it to get worse?

You would have to be a well liked employee of the district when you are the wife of a school board member and former school board president! Your comments sound like you are threatening any employee of the district with losing their job if they make any negative comments about the district.

So, thank you for confirming what others have already stated is a common practice within the district to hide the truth!

Maybe you should resign since you are protecting the immoral individuals within the district by your silence, which makes you no better than them. I would never be loyal to an employer that did things that went against my own beliefs and morals.

You obviously haven't spoken to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. They are "always looking" for a story on Fox C-6 because they "know Fox is dirty". I know that for a fact!
Listen, even cancer patients can appear to be healthy! There is a cancer at fox and the epicenter is the BOE and the Administrators. It will not matter how many pointless honors they recieve for character, anybody can fill out paperwork and get some no knowledge group to sign off on it.
Do you actually think you can silence this?
If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem!

They did silence all of you. No one will put faces and names along with their allegations, and all school baords are instructed by any credible legal council to dismiss anonymous claims.

Actually, what the board wants doesn't matter. They got it in front of the public, anonymous or not. Now the public will investigate and fix it. They haven't been silenced in the least.

You truly have no idea how school law and school boards and their elections work... Good Luck with what you "think" will happen. It won't, and most of the rednecks on here don't vote, so the same old same old will keep keepin' on.

That's hilarious, "crazy". I have found myself schooling plenty of admins and educators on law myself. And I am "just a parent". And I am "just a parent" who can and will be calling on media when necessary and rallying other parents to get to the polls to see what we can get done. Believe me, the board does not want to shut the people out. Not anymore.

"Crazy" sounds a lot like Hmmmm and "Come on Already" to me. Not only is "Crazy" suggesting that the school admin can disregard law and public concerns, but that it is cool and acceptable to do so! Arrogant, unethical and pretty abusive to the people funding the public schools, and the people who have their very kids in those schools. No, I do not expect the board to sit here and answer all the anonymous complaints on the message board, but I do expect them to listen and take pulse of the people and turn right around making some changes to better serve the folks! WOW-how hard will that be???

They're just like the Arnold city council. They don't care and don't want citizen input. It might expose some corruption or something they want to remain hidden. Before we know it they will be hiring Sweeney to be their attorney.

This fight will not have to be won in the courts, it'll be won in the streets by public opinion.

Listen I understand that you are afraid, change is a difficult thing to deal with. But this abuse that is spoken of by the current administration is going to come to an end!

Elections are pretty simple. There are seven people on the board that need to be replaced. Cheryl Herman, Ruth Ann Newman, Linda Nash, Dan Smith, Marc McEneny, Dave Palmer and Pete Nicholas. It is as simple as remembering their names. Repacing them one by one will send a loud enough message!

By the way, I'm proud to be a redneck! Just means I work harder than you!

I have lived here my whole life. People like you that are proud of our redneck image make me sick. I absolutely hate that image and personally do everything I can to squash it. I know it has nothing to do with the topic, but I felt a need to respond.

The word redneck originated from European Immigrants and Native Americans who worked in the fields, labored hard and got their hands dirty to earn their keep and take care of their land. Their skin-usually their necks- was turned "red" as it was one place usually exposed by the sun (these people usually knew to cover their arms and legs in the sun with long, loose clothing-much like Arabs and Asians do to this day).
The word redneck has been perverted to mean "dumb" or "stupid" or uneducated. The newer, perverse use is actually pretty inaccurate. I prefer to just refer to people who are stupid, and willfully so, as morons-regardless of their background, their geographical location, or their formal educational credentials.
The answer here is to get people out to vote and to care about local elections. As long as people show up to vote, and there are other people to choose from ( I never vote for unopposed candidates personally), we will see a true reflection of what the people want. As long as there isn't any backroom bullying going on-which is always possible- and has been alleged here as well. Let's hope not. I would hate to see another embarrassing lawsuit for this district. The media would eat it up.

Dear Crazy,

You sound like you are crazily hoping the people won't vote. Wondering why.....

Crazy, tell us how "school law" works! Please. I did not know there was such an area of law called "school law" in the first place. I need to be educated for sure.

Also, please tell us how the school boards and their elections work. Isn't that info supposed to be public knowledge? We are requesting that info here as the public. Please clue us in so we can be more active in the process. Thanks so much!

"not a redneck" is self loathing.
Methinks what NARN hates about the image is not so much the image and what redneck means but how our culture has decided to define the word and how to label all people we wish to disregard as lowlife, scummy, racist, idiots, which our culture has decided to lump into the term "redneck". Mayne NARN can be proud of his/her own heritage and start trying to educate the masses who have caused him or her to be so self loathing.......whatever.

The school board and admin needs to change for the better and we can all agree on that.
