I just got a text. Mr. Critchlow got the Head football coach position at Seckman High School. The school board approved Dr Brown's lover. Nothing will change.
I imagine the new football coach will get a raise on top of the $98,000 plus salary. I guess Dr. Brown will have to cut the salaries of some of the other employees this coming year. Soon those at the lower end of the totem pole will have to pay to work for the district.

Maybe I don't understand what side you are trying to get everyone to consider. If you are not agreeing with the administration, and you are not agreeing with the concerned citizens, then what exactly are you saying? No one was against you speaking your mind. However, you did call everyone that was a little nervous about revealing themselves whimps. You are not bothering us. Don't apologize. If you have a solution to the problem then by all means, lets have it.

Curious, are you suggesting that I have a $200 K salary. Why do you assume that? CPA is not my profession, it's my grandson's initials. Just had to add that before I left.
No, CPA, I was not suggesting that you have a $200K salary. I was talking about the almighty Dr. Brown.
Fox Alcohol Abuse Grant

In 2007, Fox was one of only 16 districts in the country that was awarded a grant of $1 Million dollars for Alcohol Abuse Education. It was published in the Leader back in 2007. The name of the program was "Project Toward No Drug Abuse".

I would think that hiring a coach with a DWI Arrest would have been somewhat of an issue for the district if it truly is trying to educate the kids about Alcohol Abuse. This just seems quite hypocritical of the schools efforts towards battling Alcohol Abuse.

I've ignored this site for some time. I heard from my niece Seckman hired a coach yesterday and the parents are very excited about it. Her nephew in law (long story) is bouncing off the ceiling.

I spoke up for for dr brown weeks ago and I would wriggle in my seat to watch her use her 200 k salary to bring each of you posters and you "anonymous" folk to Hillsboro to see how lovely your lives are if in fact that suit comes to fruition. After catching up on this site I would be full steam ahead if I were her or that Seckman coach.

What suit?

Actually she can only go after the one poster that made the accusation, not anybody else for discussing their concerns over the matter. So she will only be dragging one person to Hillsboro, the original poster.

You should really quit the scare tactics. They aren't working.

Looking back at the beginning of the thread you will never know who made the original accusation because posts have been deleted.

Looking back I noticed that some of Mr. Vinson's posts have been removed, too. How sad.

Nice try Paul Vinson. It is interesting to know that you agree with the infidelity, partying, and DWI's of our hypocritical "character" "honor" "integrity" banner posting
administration. Do we have a drunk (DWI) that was let go from another school now in charge of Bridges (a joke) and Football?

Yea coach drinks and sleeps his way to the top... GO TEAM

Freedom of speech and technology are amazing things. Original posters can be located easy as pie crmg. Keep instigating and I bet you'll find a "special envelope" in your stocking this year. Can't fix stupid.

When administrators are being paid by taxpayer money - it is our business. When they are supposed to be setting the bar and in charge of our children's education - it is our business. They should be held accountable for their actions. That is the circumstances they accept when they sign on for the position (public scrutiny). We would all be considered unfit parents if we weren't concerned. And Lol, you're right, you can't fix studpid. But we CAN remove it from office!

While people who are targeted by lies may well be angry enough to file a lawsuit, there are some very good reasons why actions for defamation may not be a good idea.

The publicity that results from a defamation lawsuit can create a greater audience for the false statements than they previously enjoyed. For example, if a newspaper or news show picks up the story of the lawsuit, false accusations that were previously known to only a small number of people may suddenly become known to the entire community, nation, or even to the world. As the media is much more apt to cover a lawsuit than to cover its ultimate resolution, the net effect may be that large numbers of people hear the false allegations, but never learn how the litigation was resolved.

Another big issue is that defamation cases tend to be difficult to win, and damage awards tend to be small. As a result, it is unusual for attorneys to be willing to take defamation cases on a contingent fee basis, and the fees expended in litigating even a successful defamation action can exceed the total recovery.

Another significant concern is that, even where the statements made by the defendant are entirely false, it may not be possible for a plaintiff to prove all of the elements of defamation. Most people will respond to news that a plaintiff lost a defamation lawsuit by concluding that the allegations were true.

In other words, the plaintiff in a defamation action may be required to expend a considerable amount of money to bring the action, may experience significant negative publicity which repeats the false accusations, and if unsuccessful in the litigation may cement into the public consciousness the belief that the defamatory accusations were true. While many plaintiffs will be able to successfully prosecute defamation actions, the possible downside should be considered when deciding whether or not such litigation should be attempted.

Considering that crmg didn't make the accusation I doubt they will have a "special envelope". However, crmg can now go after you for the threat and I encourage that person to do so.

crmg, as a person with a legal background I encourage you to go after Lol. A person cannot threaten litigation like that and it is considered harassment.

BTW, where did Mr. Vinson's posts go to?

I think all this litigation talk is coming up so that the administration can try to scare people into not talking.

The city tried to subpeona Topix once to get ISP information. Topix never replied and the city never got the information.

No, I said that about the people who were talking all big and bad about going to the board meeting to get things done; they did nothing. I was at the board meeting. Were you? Please read what I say more carefully. I'm not sure what the solution is, but going on and on and on does no good. What has been accomplished here? So everyone knows about Dr. Brown's personal life.

Bottom line is the students. Are the students performing well? Yes they are. MAP and EOC scores are high. Fox High School has the only National Merit Finalist in Jefferson Co. who will most probably be a National Merit Scholar, which is a HUGE accomplishment, and he does credit his school for helping with that. I know him personally. ACT scores at both schools are above state average. I believe that the teachers have done the bulk of the work for these accomplishments, but if she is such a bad leader, then they couldn't do their jobs.

What is it that you want? Do you want her fired? Then call a board member. Write letters to the school board. I keep telling myself I WON'T read this forum again, but it's like staring at a wreck on the side of the road. I don't want to look, but I can't help myself.:) I'm really going to try to not come back here.

You can focus on the positive, but you cannot and must not ignore the negative. You can pretend it is not there, but it will continue to be the 800 pound gorilla in the room. I challenge parents to come to Walgreens on Jeffco at 2:30 in the afternoon and witness the terrible behavior of the kids that storm the place in groups, scattering to every aisle who dare to steal what they can and leave. They have no intention to purchase anything and are quite defiant and organized in their criminal activities. Maybe if there were a group of concerned parents willing to escort the individuals on their perusal through the store, Like a buddy system, it would dissuade their actions. Any volunteers?

The Bridges program is another travesty and waste of money. It takes kids with no self-respect, who had no respect for their fellow classmates and teachers in the regular school setting and elevates them to their own little school where they still have no respect for themselves or the people who are trying to help them. This, all in the name of fudging drop-out rate numbers, to look good, appearances over substance, isn't that what it is all about?
