After the successful We Are One Reunion concert, it has been decided to start a community Chorus. Anyone who can sing is welcome. There will be a meeting on Thurs Nov 12 at First Baptist Church of Arnold in the Family Center. Come on out if you are interested. Details are not complete, but likely it will be 3 or 4 concerts during the year, each preceded my 5 or 6 once a week rehearsals.
This is NOT a church choir for the Baptist church, they have just graciously offered facilities for our rehearsals. Mr. Martin Johnson will be leading us.

Got this update email just a bit ago, so, if you are interested in this:

We have had two information meetings about the community choir, with approx 60 people who have attended. Many others have expressed interest. We will meet with both groups on Dec.7, at 6:30 PM to finalize the details about when we will start and the night we will practice on. We will also be singing a few Christmas songs that night for a little fun. So we want to invite everyone, even if you are not planning on being a part of the community choir to go ahead and come to sing with us and have a little fun. Hope to see you there.

I thought we used to have a community choir a long time ago. Mr. Simpson was a big supporter of it. What ever happened to that one?

Yes, 6:30, probably in a meeting room downstairs, depending on how many show up.
CC, I am unaware of another community choir, but I will ask. I am assuming it is no longer in existence. We are looking to structure this into something that can continue on, after Mr. Johnson no longer directs, after current members no longer can sing, new members can come in. We have several students from the high school who are joining also. Anyone from the area is welcome. And I want to stress again, this is NOT a FBCA choir, they are just generous enough to provide us with facilities to meet, practice and sing. They have been very generous to us, and we owe them a great deal of thanks. However we are also looking at performing anywhere that will have us.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Capricorn

The detail-oriented Moon in Virgo is extremely supportive and helpful, so it feels good to know that you can count on some support. You may know just where the help is coming from, but with communicative Mercury all over transformative Pluto in your sign, maybe you're being looked after by your very own guardian angel. Don't let this encourage you to take foolish risks or overstep the mark.
