Its Doris Borgelts fault the police investigated the place and found the criminals. Its Doris Borgelts fault the city suspended the business license. Doris, Doris, Doris...... She makes all the rights wrong and all the wrongs right at the same time. How dare her. Common sense people, thats all it takes.

She doesn't exactly make the rights wrong. You can't right a wrong with another wrong. It only results in lawsuits.

So you admit then that she wrote the email to cause the place undue hardship?

Agree all you want, they are still closed with weeds growing four feet high around the building. Number 6 would apply and if confessing is not an admission of guilt, what is it?
Where is there any confession from the gold buyer or his employee?
And your number six seems to be the purposfully vague all encompassing, personally subjective bit so they can use anything they want, call it a nuicance and have thier way.

The paper said ONE employee. There were two people that were buying from Target and taking it there. Your reading comprehension skills are severely lacking.

Maybe my reading comprehension skills are lacking too....Why would two people be arrested for buying from Target? ;-)

Who were all of those people taking pictures and going in and out of the gold buyer shop Friday? From early morning to early afternoon, taking pictures of the building, the electric lines, etc. I wonder if they got a shot of that chimney that hasn't got enough mortar between the bricks to hold it up if a strong wind comes by.

You got me in a technicality. Two people stealing from Target, but not employed by the Gold Buyer.

You just have a vendetta against them. Guess that bad publicity before an election made you that way. But didn't they describe your actions and maybe that caused the loss? And I haven't seen a lawsuit against them for defamation for the article is the information was incorrect as claimed.

Why would you file a defamation lawsuit unless you happen to see where the first lawsuit goes? That's putting your cart before the horse in my opinion.

The person claims they were defamed. If that is true then they should file suit against the Gold Buyer or file a counter claim against the Gold Buyer's current lawsuit. The person still hasn't filed for an order of protection against another person they claimed made them and others have concern for their safety. Maybe they didn't file because the person never didn't anything threatening against them.

Well if things go according to schedule, one of the alleged thieves should have his day in court today and those who allegedly willingly bought those stolen good will have their reckoning on the 19th.

Oh, I get it. The things Doris thinks will help her in her campaign. Well, do we want someone who has had poor behavior published in the Leader over this in office? Who can find THAT Leader article and post it?

She has claimed the Article to be incorrect. However, has she sued them for libel because of it?

Former Arnold City Council member fined for campaign violations
FROM STAFF REPORTS
Dec 17, 2013 04:50 PM
ARNOLD The Missouri Ethics Commission has fined Doris Borgelt, a former Arnold City Council member, for campaign violations during her failed bid for mayor in the April election.

The Ethics Commission levied a $3,450 fine against Borgelt and her committee, but that amount is reduced to $430 if paid within 45 days of the Dec. 6 order, and if no further campaign finance violations are made within the next two years.

Borgelt said Tuesday that she made a mistake, and that in the future, she will take a class on campaign-finance procedures. She also said she will pay the $430.

The Missouri Ethics Commission last week sanctioned an Arnold City Council member for not itemizing $3,650 in campaign contributions stemming from an unsuccessful bid for a Jefferson County Council seat.

Democrat Phil Amato lost the election for the county position in November, but was elected to the Arnold City Council in April to represent the city's third ward.

Amato and his election committee, the Friends of Phil Amato, admitted to not recording the names and addresses of 12 contributors who gave more than $100 each at an Oct. 12 fundraiser, according to Commission documents filed Wednesday.
