Does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumors about the district buying a new air conditioned buss for Seckman Highs' football team?

From what I've heard, there was at least one position made for the member of the board that just resigned his position. They are also creating a job for another board member. He will be doing security. They let our SRO officer go because of the budget, his salary about 38,000 per year. I wander what his salary will be? Probably at least twice that! You see, that is how our administration works, they want to be able to control all that goes on. If you have a Sheriff in the building, he has to answer to a higher power, they can not make him their puppet. Control is the motivator, no matter what the financial cost!

Well that doesn't surprise me. The one good thing you can say about the district is they do take care of their own.

Take care of their own??!! Does that mean they spend our money in the most efficient way with the most qualified people? They should be at the direction of those that pay for this mess!

All of their employees should be taken care of that "well." Instead, if you are not a part of that inner circle, you are treated with contempt and flagrant disregaurd.

One can also get a copy of the official manual for the state of Missouri for this year.

The Sec. of State puts one out every year and some offices of Representatives have them available. Call your local rep and see.

I got a copy last year. The book has everything.

there was a pretty big salary jump for admins in some school districts, including fox, in a short amount of time. i know the freeze sounded great but when you study all the data context, you may come to a different conclusion.

Relax a little will you.I am on your side.I was only being sarcastic. No they do not spend tax payers money in the most efficient way,nor do they hire the most qualified people.I agree with you all employees should be treated fairly and the same. How true your last statement is.If you are not the in-crowd,you are disrespected and treated coldy by uncaring people.

Sorry about that. I didn't catch the sarcasm. But it'll be hard to relax.

They should have a policy stating that within four years of serving on the school board that they cannot be hired by the district to an employee position.

Hold on to your hats, hold on to your seat, brace yourself.I actually saw maintenance men working at Seckman High School.Tuesday afternoon,of course it was after the custodians were already there.Custodians were already at schools working hard shoveling snow and throwing salt.Lo and behold maintenance men finally showed up and started snow blading the parking lots.Yeah and they were not in to good of a mood, because one of them actually gave me a dirty look and he said a few chose words to me ,because i was actually trying to get out of his way as i was pulling off the lot.Well i said a few chose words back to him. I think he was just in a bad mood because he had to actually work.

If I were you, I would stick it out & pray that there will be a major change coming when dealing with the district's admin. & Board of Education. Same happened to me and when I went to my union rep for advice, my job was put in jeopardy. Trust me, at this point there is nothing you can do. Unfortunately, the laws are written so that the inner circle of Central Office and administation can basically get away with whatever they so choose!!! And they most certainly do!!!!!

I have been putting up with this for some time now and don't know how much longer i can take it.Something needs to be done and we certainly need change.Sorry that this happened to you,yes it seems when someone speaks up repercussions are taken. It is so sad that this continues to go on.Seems there is a different set of rules for supervisors, administrators and a few other. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you for the advice.I will consider it ,but i think it may be a case of their word against mine.I was told they will probably take the supervisors' word over mine just because of their position.Do people think supervisors'don't lie?

When a legitimate complaint is brought against someone in their protected group Fox administration does nothing about it, espescially if you're (what they consider) a lower class employee. Some of them at the administration building need to get some guts and do what is right instead of being afraid of stepping on someone's toes. I don't know how you people sleep at night. Oh, that's right you know your job is secure.
