Hi everyone. I live over here by Lonedell and east highview. Only been here for a couple years and love it out here alot more then Affton where we use to libve. So not really use to coyotes. I have a large field behind my home with a chain link fenced in yard. Anyway I have been hearing a lot of them close by yapping and howling for the last couple months and kinda concerned because I have a little Miniature Pinscher that thinks he's a tough guy and runs up the the fence and like to chase off the deer lol. I have not seem these coyotes but know they are close and would hate for one of them to get ahold of him. So was just wondering if any of you in the area have heard em and has anyone had any problems with them? Are they known to attack small pets or able or willing to jump a 4ft Chain fence? Just don't know much about them and how aggressive they are. Any stories or feedback would be appreciated! Thanks

We have them where I live and they are very dangerous. Not only are they a terrible nuisance but they killed some of our calves and one mother shortly after she had given birth along with the newborn. The howling is bone chilling. Some of them are so brazen they come in our front yard. Needless to say I'm fearful every time I let my dogs out, in broad daylight or at night. I don't know the law in MO but we can kill them in Bama. Or at least we can and do in the country.

I heard on news a while ago they were even running in the city. And for people to keep a eye on their dogs.

We're talking wild animals, not domestic dogs. Coyotes carry rabies and who knows what else? What is Jefferson County or the City of Arnold doing regarding the problem? I'd stay on them until you get a satisfactory answer.
