Second of all if you know anything about the ghetto you wouldnt have much to say. Let yourself be known fool. The "Suspected" armed robber was not a thug. His mom works at a very good job and did bring him up right. She should not be bashed because of the actions of her son. He was not brought up in the "Ghetto" either. For all those who glorify what the clerk did are assholes. HE was leaving the store. The danger was over. Thursday evening I lost a friend, and minus what caused him to lose his life WE the family and friends have been grieving ever since.

In Garner vs. Tennessee, the perp was unarmed. You would have a tough time articulating why an unarmed person still posed a threat.

However, someone running away from you that is still armed can still shoot at your while he's running away and can take a position of cover to shoot at you some more.

Just two years ago, the DeKalb County Police Department lost a highly decorated SWAT Team Member to an armed murder suspect. The officer pulled him over after witnessing suspected drug activity. The perp bailed from the car with his gun in hand. As he ran away, he fired shots at the officer and his back up officer. The perp took a position of cover and continued shooting, striking and killing one of the officers.

The case you brought up is totally irrelevant. That case dealt with an unarmed suspect. This armed robber was still armed, just like the murder suspect who was fleeing and killed the DeKalb Officer. A fleeing armed suspect is still a threat. If he wasn't, that DeKalb Officer would still be alive today.

Just because someone isn't running at you doesn't mean your safe.

Atticus Finch, you excel at bringing up irrelevant facts, posting things out of context, and outright lying. You try to make yourself seem more knowledgeable of the law than you are. Graduate from a reputable law school before you start handing out legal knowledge and advice.

Do you know if the suspect was shot inside or outside?
It only takes seconds to commit a crime and seconds to prepare for a reaction towards the robbers.

I sympathize with the employee who may have chosen to go against company policy and have a firearm on company property and may lose his/her job.

I sympathize for the victim's family on the loss of a relative.

If only people with "stinkin' thinkin' syndrome would change their thinkin' for the better instead of taking what doesn't belong to them, we as a people would be better off and have some sort of peace

As Mr. E pointed out, that case dealt with UNARMED fleeing suspects. But even if a suspect is unarmed and fleeing, he still may pose a threat! What if you were chasing Jeffrey Dahmer? Sure, he's unarmed and running away, so he's not much of a threat to you NOW. But what if he gets away? How long do you think it would be before he killed someone? A cop in that situation could articulate that he needed to use deadly force to stop that individual because of the threat to public safety if he escaped. But I digress...

What the hell is wrong with you, Finch? Do you try to be ignorant and obnoxious, or does it just come naturally? You don't have a clue what you're talking about! You just google some case law you think is relevant and try to use it to make yourself look like you know what you are talking about! What a joke you are!
