First off, the man is supposed to be a peace officer; therefore, his crimes are worse than the average individual. Some may say we are all-human and make mistakes which is true, but what I have to say to counter that is that he chose to be a gatekeeper into the criminal justice world. However, the truth may set him free in the land of the free! If he is truly sorry the great almighty god will obtain his presence, but its doubtful. Many prisoners say they are reformed; however, their release from incarceration only causes more anguish!

I can't believe the twisted monster is even eligible for parole...he isn't in prison for murdering jane Doe, he is in prison for raping his son from the time he was a few weeks old to 13 yrs old. Jane Doe wasn't the only woman he murdered in that area either.

The only reason he's still in prison is because of Texas's harsher laws. Nelson was convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, with his son for the younger years of his life, and was only sentenced to 9 years in prison for it. He was also only sent. to 15 years in prison for Jane Doe, because he pled down to manslaughter. So if there were no Texas charges, Nelson would have been free in 2004 in Minnesota AND wouldn't have had to register as a sex offender because he was convicted before that law passed.

Jane Doe was also the only person he was ever convicted or even charged with murdering.

Which other cases do you think he was involved in rockhound?
